Totally. Same could be said about AT, Alucab and vagabond. Nobody has completely original ideas anymore. Competition is necessary for innovation.

Oh yes. More competitors gives people options and could force companies to improve / make changes. Don’t be surprised if someone wants to compete.
I agree, I have to accept that this is and will be in “development” for a while. That was my main concern. Do I really wanna buy something like this and be #40 something. There will be nuances and there will be improvements others will get. That’s part of being in a market for a somewhat niche tent design. Gotta accept it

I’m sure they have made supply chain improvements, I’ve heard they are upping build dates. They are making moves, and probably good ones. They have a good team over there from what little I see.

Thats a great idea. Worst case scenario you waste a day and throw something at the wall in frustration.

Anyone else hear from SP about a pick up date? I’ve been refreshing my email all day in hopes of something after hearing there’s been some movement.

That’s what I heard last from her as well. That being said I should be receiving an email this week maybe next week at the latest if that’s the case.

And don’t forget about the new Camp King Outback. They make great products but looks to be really similar to the others. Nothing helps move things along more than the competition. Looking forward to seeing the new Camp King and Super Pacific versions.

I do like the Camp Kings as well, but for that money I’d go with AT. SP came out at the best time for me. I had my fingers on a Novemberish GFC build, and was looking at pivoting to AT when Moses parted the sea and Showed me the Super Pacific.

Yea, for the base model. AT fully equipped for me is around 13k. And AT is in AZ, not Australia. AT defiantly has production figured out, and not making anyone wait a year for a set up.

I should add that Sloop, the camp king importer quoted me 10 weeks for delivery so they seem to have production sorted out as well.

@mac_2_nite just let us know he paid and has a pick up date for 11/16 and ordered 8/13 if I recall correctly. I also was noted 1 month behind which shows here in this pick up date. I am hoping that means in the next week or two the few of us that bought end of august/early September get the call.

Yeah I was talking about camp king. I mean thats a lot of money imo 12.5k for a shell with a wedge camper.
Yeah it's nice but to each their own.

That’s the post I was referring to. I’m terrible with @ people since I can’t figure out how to quote multiple posts. I think most of us are in the same late August early September timeframe.

Totally agree. With the early order pricing on the SP I think we are getting a super killer deal on a killer camper. Better than a GFC in my opinion without ever seeing one in person for less money. Best decision I’ve made.

That was the big factor for me. Price, chance of getting it in a few months over waiting were big pros. Digging the design too. Also some other things like color, install, etc are not extra but included at least right now. Also no tax if you pick up.

No tax! That’s definitely an Oregon bonus!

oh yeah! that was just a bonus on top of the already killer deal. If i was going to go Vagabond in base form mind I add that is a crazy deal as they charge for install/paint have no doors by default on the sizes. They are great setups but the cost was what kept me from the setup.

My biggest complaint with vagabond beyond pricing and wait time is the rear window being a 30 year old design camper shell window.
