Uh... when did the price get jacked up to $12k for the mid-size?

 

Wow! There’s no way my wife would have let me get it at that price point.

 

Dang, I didn't know that. Just looked at the site. One more price increase and the new tops (which many of us are getting due to the wait) will be DOUBLE what I paid. Just.....wow.

 

New top? can you elaborate please

 

New tops meaning lots has been changed and upgraded since they first started making them (and selling them for the intro pricing that I paid). Latches have changed, canvas has dramatically changed, lots and lots of little tweaks to fix leaks, fit, etc. etc.

Wow $12k that’s a tough one to take in.

 

Last time they made an announcement when it increase to 10k, but there was no announcement for the current price hike. What exactly changed from the 10k to hit the 12k mark ?

 

Why are you worried? Youll pay the price it was when you put down your deposit.

 

From my initial early deposit the updated standard features list now includes rear window (I paid extra) and third brake light.
Would be great to have Demuro do a review - quirks and features.
Still, quite a price hike.

Same. I’m at 22ish nights and no issue yet for me at least.

 

The 3rd brake light is like a $10 item at cost if the bought a box of them from Taiwan/China. I have the same one on a DIY mount connected to a 4-pin trailer harness to put on my bike rack.

I'm guessing it's a combination of materials costs rising, getting established (no more early adopter prices), and marketing (since Fred Williams and others are spreading the word and making it the SuperCoolPacific).

 

Maybe it’s because I got the launch price , but if someone wants to price their product at a certain price , let them be. Even if it’s for larger profit margin. People will pay what they wanna pay!

 

Yep, the price will continue to rise until people stop placing orders. That's 'Merica/capitalism. It's not a charity case.

 

Definitely material costs. We deal with it daily as well..

Currently having to use a piece of 13-8 stainless round bar for a Mill part.. just because that's all we could find and order in time..

 

Get back on the mill
