That's option #2 for sure. It just makes it a little more difficult to get down, since the opening will be 6" smaller. I'm sure doable. If we end up not liking the ladder, or it's a huge hassle, I'll probably fab something up to try that option. I'm not entirely sure what material I'd want to try to use to mimic the thickness of the existing panels though. The guy who posted a while back used honeycomb that seemed pretty similar to the stock material that SP uses, but he wasn't forthcoming with the source.

FYI a Super Pacific owner just posted that he’s selling his unit, this in the Facebook group Super Pacific USA Owners. Tried to copy a link but it’s a closed group or something. I hate Facebook. His name is Joel Seibel. Not sure what his handle is here.

Last time we camped i pulled the mattress all the way back to the rear window, covering the 2 night stand pieces, rolled up all the windows and slept with our heads in the wedge - we were able to view the stars better that way and it was comfy, and oh yeah, bring a pee bottle up.

I haven’t found a need for a ladder just yet and I’ve had the back jam packed with gear- I just climb in over all of the stuff and it’s worked out, but the idea about flipping the sleeping direction is interesting.

Yep, that's what us insert-other-brand-wedge-camper-here do. I feel like putting a ladder onto my wedge camper to crawl into the side/rear makes it an expensive RTT. I'd rather have room to get down out of bed into the truck bed and out the tailgate if I want for a silent escape at night rather than zippers and/or velcro.

I need to take a photo that may have been me. I bought several kinds from McMaster as there are a ton of variations. the flat one and another that sits slightly below the track were great. no mods needed.

that's been my take I liked that there was no need for a ladder but until i get my organization down I was considering some ladder plus the kid likes them but another note necessary item or critical but the dual use of using top and bottom to sleep would be a perfect use for it. Or possibly if you want to keep everything closed and locked might be a mother use. not 100% sold but had considered it.

Nice! I recently got a similar down top I can pack away but the lower part is great. I got a sheet set but just doesnt fit well enough. this looks like a great option. I assume its a no but any chance its flat enough you could close up shop with a deflated exped and goods? That woudl be great but likely not possible. not much room for extras when closed.

Installed hammer hangars and cross brace last weekend. I still need a new leaf pack but I will say its made a huge difference. The truck feels 1000x better. The extra support for the truck is a great value add. I still plant to box the frame, add a brace between my shock towers and new leafs but this is a solid start. Recommend Archive or BAMF as they will give a similar planted feel.

If you do the cross brace it does. I have long eliminated the spare underneath. 1. it was too big, 2. added air tank there instead, and 3. Put it on a swingout.

You can add the hangars with no cross brace which is still a fantastic upgrade to the weaker stock hangars.

It was cheap to make if you are able to sew. Found the nylon at Walmart. Total cost was under $10, plus whatever the velcro/vhb costs.

Still waiting for extrusion, maybe this week, looking like re-launch of pending taco X1's after mid-August.

    1) Has anybody found any financing options for the Super Pacific Camper or any of these rooftop tents for that matter?
    2) Did Super Pacific raise their prices or am I just going crazy?

    1) No. Most places won't do this. I spoke to someone a few weekends ago that had a brand new 4WheelCamper. He said he passed on a wedge and got the 4wc because he could finance it.
You should check with your local bank for a personal loan if you need financing.

    2) Yes, they raised it by almost double since launch. The first increase was more known about, but the more recent increase was a lot more secretive and most people in here didn't notice.

best bet is look for a credit card with 0% for 12-15 months plus you get 200-300 bucks bonus when you spend x amount and 1.5% cash back just divided it by how ever many months you can get interest free. More risker but an option.

The other thing to consider is you pay $500 up front. then you have 4-6 months to save up for the camper. You pay half then you have 4-6 weeks potentially for the other half. not perfect but their is a decent lead time to scrape together a good chunk of it. You can then buy a bunch of AMC stock, Dodge coin and hope it rebounds or take out a small load like folks mentioned.
