yeah mine works, factory antenna... I think only people that mounted a solar panel over that area experienced problems with radio reception.

I have solar right over the antenna and have noticed a little worse XM reception than I would normally have but nothing crazy. The most noticeable one is AM. It's pretty much unusable.

It's not enough of an inconvenience to make me want to reposition my panels.

My install is scheduled for Friday 2PM Nov 5. Driving up from southern Idaho. I'm guessing we won't be leaving SP til 3-4 pm. Any recommended camping spots an hour or so east of Portland for Friday night? don't want to drive hours then try to set up something new in the dark. Or do we just hotel it nearby and start out fresh Saturday morning? thanks

it’s the rainy season, keep that in mind.. will be significantly drier once you get east of the cascades. A brand new tent has a unique smell that benefits from being open and aired out for several hours, keep in mind. Maryhill state park is across the river from Biggs, OR, is reservable online, won’t be in the wet region, and has powered spots available if you desire to run electric heater instead of propane, also Deschutes River state park is nearby. Approx 85 miles east of Portland.

Got our date set for Nov. 22nd! Taking that Thanksgiving week off for a total of 9 days off. Picking up the camper in the beginning few days then adventuring our way back home to Az. We've got a buddy in Portland so planning on staying there the night before install. Crunch time now for the last few prep items. Rear BAMF bumper should be here just in time to slap on prior to the trip.

Anyone else have rain seep in through the seal at the top of the doors, drip down the gutter, and then sit in the bottom hollow section of the doors? All three of my doors collect water like this. I just drilled a very small hole in the corner of each one for the water to drain. Kinda a hack solution, but seemed easier than trying to fix the seals and dust intrusion isn't a big deal for me.

Camped at Olallie Lk after my afternoon install.
The drive up through the afternoon/evening fog was slow but interesting and the morning over the lake with a view of Mt. Adams was spectacular. Well worth it if you have the time.
Or stay at Mt Hood Oregon Resort if you're headed south.

I hiked through there on the PCT in '13, great area. Mt. Hood Resort had an ACE breakfast buffet that did not disappoint.

Finally got the X1 installed yesterday. Peter and Josh are way cool guys, along with everyone else. Now comes the fun of figuring it out and the interior build. Driving was bit different and I could feel the weight. Wanted to spend the week going down the 395 and fly fishing but ended up breaking a molar... (^&#%%&5$^$#!!!! sucks. But I'll fish today in Bend OR.SP X1_2.jpg SP X1.jpg

Got the overland pro 4k awning.
Got me thinking I might want 3 awning mounts lol… It came with two of those beefy ones.

I know I know before someone comments:
Yes the loads are applied differently. SPC mount is in sheer with some bending if windy, OverlandProb is always in bending so needs to be thick to handle the bending.
