More so the gap between the awning and the camper on the end of the 270 swing out. I been debating if i go just straight awning or a 270.

Oh that is pretty normal on almost all of them. some of the more $$$ ones you have to buy an extra flap such as alucab. The Rhinorack has an extra flap you can push out but there will never be a true seal per se.

@frenchee this is what @gnardoggie was talking about he was thinking about making a plate or attachment for our campers and seeing if any of us would be in the market.

yah also super heavy. I almost bought one a few months back on a deal but man it was heavy. also on the current setup I would have had to drill the awning or new mounting points and get a rear anchor spot since its that heavy so decided to pass.

My rhino rack I have its useable but if you there is any chance of wind even the little bit its a gamble. POS breaks every time I use it. Makes sense why they sell replacement parts but of course they only supply 2 extra but not uncommon for 3 or all 4 parts to break. I may give it one more shot if it breaks again its over. I may just get a regular awning with the experience I have had with 270 versions.

Thats what I was going to do. I am not in that cold as often so a dedicated setup likely not needed although would be nice.

I love the idea of it, but in CA I winter camp a bit and make due with layers and bag.
If I had the extra $ I would definitely do it for the extra creature comfort/cool factor. Far in the future maybe.

Another easy idea is to insulate the bottom shell and doors. that should help big time. I had that in my shell and it stayed really warm. At least underneath it would stay warm. In the tent its a gamble but I know they talked about an add on to make it 4 season possible down the line.

Mr Buddy is great, but creates condensation. Since this is externally vented there's no moisture at all. I'm going to do it either way and will for sure post up progress.

Def want to see what you come up with. I had looked into that it a bit before but never got too deep into the setup. for me now it s more weight so might get the Axe but def want to see it working.

If you will be doing lots of cold camping a diesel heater is good option, the combustion happens outside of the living space so no condensation, you can mount them in a pelican type case for easy handling, fuel is cheap and easy to find
