Ah, I see it now - the lines are dirt or corrosion from the edges of the bulb seal.

Happy New Year! I had a fun few days in the camper and we got some great snow recently
    Super Pacific Snow.jpg

Best part was the electric hook-up in the RV Lot. Cost $20/night and was worth it.
I didn't need to move my truck for the several days I was up there.

I used a cheapo electric heater that I bought at Bi-Mart and it worked very well.
Taking a mid-day break in the warm camper was a nice treat.
My wife gifted me an electric blanket for Christmas and that kept me toasty at night.

Condensation was minimal, except for the last night when it snowed hard and there was a bit of ice on the inside of the tent.
But it was so much better than the times I used the Mr. Buddy propane heater.

One issue I had, though, was snow& ice building up on the tailgate. It made it impossible to open the back from the inside.
I had to scramble out the side door and then clear the ice before I could open the back.
    IMG_7127.jpg

I did have a difficult time closing the tent when it was time to leave.
I cleared the ice out of the channels as thoroughly as I could, but I wasn't able to get the latches engaged.
A friend nearby saw my struggles and came over to help pull down on the corners with me.
That did the trick. I needed the extra weight. And I am working on that by continuing my holiday eating habits.

    Happy trails in 2022.

Great job on your pics in the calendar fellas. Partial to Oct as like you others, B-day month, Indigenous Peoples Day (10/11), and I've spent a lot of time surfing Baja... But Nov captured the grit of the Taco. Super stoked to see them. Reckon I'll need to toss a few in the ring next year. HNY!

Toss some in next year. all for fun. I went for it last year and this year always try to use a new photo. Baja won it for me this year. Can’t wait to head back myself. November 100% that’s a great photo too bad can’t see the X1.

Bumper is on! Didn't end up needing to remove the X1 luckily.

Thanks! that configuration (base setup) in the pic is supposed to be around 260lbs. I think all said and done.. it will probably be around 400lbs.

I know... :pout: I've been holding off on bumper, especially the rear for years (I've had the truck for over 10 years now) because of the weight. But.. things change and I need the space and storage capabilities. need to re-arch the leafs after the bumper is all done.. then take it to get it weighed. I know it will be over 6k for sure.

Don't forget you lost weight by removing the OEM bumper and hitch…and a pound of sheet metal.

no doubt - im adding a winch to the front of my truck and I'm going to do a semi bumper purely to save weight. I can't justify $2k more just for a full aluminum bumper but sure don't want to bolt 200lb to the front end.
