yah also who knows if you get real blue sea nowadays too. I have mine run to a fuse block so it's likely fine. it was annoying I had to get diff L shaped connected to get it to fit in though. not much space to get that sucker in there with wires and connectors

Installed 5160's on the stock 2015 leaf pack last night, they feel really planted on a quick test drive over pavement of varying qualities. Deeper review later. I also have wheelers offroad progressive add a leafs to install later but am curious about the change with just the shocks. Also no time yet to install those.

Reservoir brackets were a PITA until I realized you can just install the bracket without the reservoir loosely a lot easier than with the reservoir per the instructions.

Lower shock bolts were a bigger PITA since the bushing is incredibly tight in the frame mount.

Finally got pictures of the prototype wind fairing. On a big trip so it took me a while to figure out how to put a picture on here.

The metal brackets are still not in, but we started in cardboard and then went to acrilic.

Went from 16.5 to 17.5 average mpg. That includes climbing grades 3k to 10k in the Sierra Mt.

Will post final pics later. When finished.

Caution. When I put an awning on the rear it blocked the poles, so I had to move the holders to the sides, which reduced the height created by the poles.

Also, I mentioned to Spencer that these were simply blocks of aluminum with holes in them and a couple of poles, and I asked him if he might not simply drill similar holes in the aluminum at the rear of the SP. Not sure if he followed up on the idea, but I wonder if that’s doable. Seems to be a fair amount of solid aluminum on the latch mechanism.

Excited! Scheduled install for May 30! Had to push it out a month because my granddaughter wants to go and see the Pacific coast. Put deposit down first week of September 2021. I’d say SP is beating their build by 2 months because I could have installed it April 27.

    Hey all,

I am excited to be preparing for my upcoming install. I remember seeing info about sealing the bed of the truck, particularly under the bedrails, before installation. After filtering through some of the pages again without finding it, I thought I’d just ask here again.

What did everyone use for water and dust proofing?

Thanks in advance. Saving me from reading 300+ pages is a huge help.

Theres the tape with sealant and SickaFlex sealant. But be known, with SickaFlex its near permanant. That stuff is tough. I use it for work.

There’s a way for SP to add a similar plate to the rear door hinges, but I haven't seen it yet.

Biggest thing is going to be the tailgate - pick up one of those tailgate sealing kits from Amazon or where-ever and do your best. Other sources are the bedside cubbies, the water drain holes in the bottom of the bed and the gaps in the corners.

Thanks for the tips. I will likely go with the sealant tape. Do you or anyone have a preferred/suggested brand?

Thanks. Definitely gonna pick up one of those tailgate seals and will probably grab the cubby seal created by the TW member.
