I thought I had seen one, but can't seem to find it again. There is a blue cap on a silver Tacoma on their Instagram, which may approximate what you're looking for.

XPOTRPR- You're out there using your shit HARD, you make whatever color choices you want. When you said, "I truly expected the X1 to be the problematic area. After that shakedown, I have faith in it and its longevity for sure," that resonated. I love having/using/modifying cool gear, but I hate dealing with it when it needs mandatory maintenance, is broken, or otherwise gets in the way of the activity it's for.

If you can have the inside painted white, id do that. It would be brighter. I like my black on a white truck, but love how the interior of a white camper looks.

If needed I was considering a similar approach. What may help is bracing the front and rear with a steal flat bar. That would help prevent the aluminum from stretching. The door alone long term I do not have confidence.

Nice I have only 4 bolts and its been solid for a couple years now. If you mount some nylon spacers on the lower ones you can angle it enough to allow you to o pen with the handle. I may remove and adjust it so I can use the lock as well. I ended up partially covering mine.

Mine is covered when the boards are on as well. Hasnt been a pain so far. I just take the boards out when i get to camp and use them as a leveler anyways.

While I don't have it mounted on a Tacoma, I do have a white X1 mounted on a white Ram 2500 Power Wagon. (This is the best forum for SP info, aside from the new SP community forum.) I went with white, because we live in sunny Colorado and in the summertime dark panels would absorb a ton of heat and continue radiating it a bit into the evening. Plus we have a toddler and I didn't want him touching super hot panels. I can say it was the right choice, because even in a cloudless summer sky in July, the panels stay relatively cool to the touch and there's no burn concerns. Plus the inside stays cooler when we are sitting inside the X1.

nice that is good to hear. I feel the core to my issues is the flat bar in the front that is causing way too much flex in the X1. I constantly hit the front but generally more so after the X1 shifts forward. In my last trip to baja all of my mounts came to lose and I was at the point of losing it. (hopped up off the truck) but its heavy enough I caught it. Part of it is bent from hitting a tie down on the way down. The flat part up front or redesign for 2nd gens is what they really need to do rather than new mounts. I have the beefier second iteration and Id say tey have even bigger design flaws. I am asking them to try the 3rd cheaper option now.

We were booking it pretty hard to prob similar to you. On the same trip we had a blown shock, cracked bed rack, cracked sherpa rack, and a blown rear end (mine).

I have not had a chance to remove my X1 to tackle your fix up front but im now even more sure that is the true fix to mount issues since it only seems to mainly be 2nd gen trucks having the issue.

I posted it before but ill drop what I did. Even though its covered its angled 1/4" or 1/2" underneath so you can open it as long as its unlocked. I keep a long PVC pipe in the truck and open it from the other side most of the time. Not a huge deal as its less work than pulling the boards off.

Make sure you do the mod that @XPOTRPR did. If you have not or are not aware you will end up with issues if you run your truck offroad enough. I have come close to losing my camper a few times and this last one as far as I would ever want to go and I'm certain its due to it shifting forward since the camper has a major design flaw on 2nd gens.

I know the rear-biased weight of our trucks doesnt help.. especially with 35s hanging off the back.

cracked it right at the spindle on the tire side..

Super Pacific launched their new satellite locations recently, I am happy to announce that Off Grid 4x4 is one of them, we are in Frederick Colorado. So if anyone is in need of any assistance with their Super Pacific, need any accessories, or are looking to order one and have it installed without taking the drive to Portland we would love to work with the people of Tacoma World. I personally have on on the way for my Ranger so that my Tacoma can be built into more of my wheeling rig.

Anyone here going to the Super Pacific satellite location meetup in San Marcos, CA tomorrow? Now that the rain has stopped here I’m thinking of going.

Yeah, feel the same but I've got some issues with my tent seams and I want to see what exactly they'll be able to repair there. Find out if I have to go up to Portland for these type of issues (which they offered to fix for free btw). Then there's free stuff.

Not a Tacoma, but I found a white F-150 with a blue Super Pacific! Check out his pinned stories.

Thank you! I did stumble across him. I got decent at photoshop as well and color-matched some shells. If anyone is insanely visual like me and wants to see what a certain setup would look like, let me know and I'll do an amateur photoshop.

I did end up going with the blue too.
