Adding a camera mirror and wanted to know how people were getting the wiring into the cab from the back. Are people making holes in the back of the SP or is there a way to get a wire under the 3rd brake light?

i drilled a hole up from within my driver-side tailgate cavity into the SP, from there its just a matter of routing cable down the frame up to bay into the cab, or if i recall isnt there a grommet under the driver seat to route cable? something like that anyway

    Found some leaks...

First trip last weekend and with the rain, found some leaks in the corners. Not a deal breaker but curious if "your" campers are like this at the rear corners where tent sits. Kinda dark but you can see the corner of the tent and the opening in the frame behind it. Both sides are like that and wondering if it's supposed to be down over that corner. Will inquire with SP but any information provided would be appreciated.

Rechecked in good light. I see the tent edge is supposed to sit below the lip but having a hole there is a problem and doesn’t yet appear to be a way to get the corners back flush against the frame

I just routed mine outside the camper from the back to the front of the canopy section, in the T-slots. Held them in with some wire covers. Then i routed it down to under the cab. I fed it into the cab through the grommet under the driver's seat. Routed it from there to the mirror. I had already routed bed lights through there, so I followed the same route.

I'm travelling now, but can get you some pics when I get back.

Picked up a practically brand new 23zero Peregrine 180 locally on Offerup for a great deal. It didnt fit/work on his v2 GFC.. Fits perfectly on the back of the SP with the SP awning mounts. I removed the rear handle on the SP, as that was the only interference area, so I plan to add a soft/paracord handle instead. It clears the rear latches and mechanisms and is super solid and sturdy.

rear door opens almost fully as is too. I can adjust the struts one up to stop it shorter, but I think it will be just fine. Testing it all out later today/this weekend. Will be nice to have full coverage over the rear of the truck and swingouts.

My tent material covers that whole section and i never had an issue with rain in the PNW. Mainly just dust that gets in that area. Not a crazy amount that gets inside and that with 50mph wind gust in DV and Alvord desert.

I asked about this a few weeks back, SP said they maybe working on a solution on it. The newer campers no longer have that gap.

For you maybe, but the 180 is what I've been planning for/wanting for my build since day one. Covers the rear and my dual rear swingouts perfectly. Can't do that with the 270 and how I want it setup. Just spent 4 days out with it over the weekend and it worked perfectly.

Looks great actually. Usually it's just a rectangle, that's cool. I don't have two swing outs so I never considered their well being and keeping them in the shade.

Definitely need the shade out here.. and the 180 is the perfect solution for the duals. Plus.. I can enclose it if I want to later with their wall kit.

Its not too bad to close now, little bit of a learning curve and I'll make a soft grab handle to help, but definitely doable still. Everything clears perfectly.

IMG_6587.jpg Finally got it installed the other week! I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m stoked on the blue!

need to throw my racks on it for surfboards and otherwise the buildout at the moment is minimal. Have some folding chairs that fit me inside with the top down, cook box, solar lights. So easy.

Putting in a lot of days this summer during fire season, so might build more! Everything on the truck is stock rn :/

Let me know if anyone needs measurements/pics/info, let me know. This thread has helped a lot!

Would love to see some of the build out specs, @Conqueeftador! Especially the folding chairs.

My brother built me some Bambed style false floors, and I have a 750ah battery and Hard Korr light on the way.
