There’s a scale near my house so I had it done in Sacramento, didn’t want to worry about finding one in Portland.

The only thing lighter is the GFC... and if you’ve seen one in person it’s easy to see why they are so light. Their space frame is probably heavier than the X1 but the bed is smaller, the doors are lighter and thinner, the tent material is not as hefty.
Nothing against GFC, I was in that line but the X1 is definitely more what I was looking for. If I had the extra money I would have gone with the AT Summit (340lbs at base, once you add the side doors and all the goods you’re probably over 400? And you can stand on the top! ) over the GFC... the SP guys hit the market at the best time for me.
Definitely catches the side wind more than my leer but other than that I don’t notice the weight at all.... and any set up like this will catch wind.

The fuselage is definitely light. I could carry it with one finger on each hand if I wanted to. I was expecting it to be heavy when Spencer told me to try and carry it.

That means we have one solid tent. nice to hear comparisons. Looks like a solid setup, it would have been more disappointing to hear it had flimsy panels and hardware.

Was it pretty easy to remove at home? Did you need to reseal it?

Wow, hard to believe it weighs in that much. I picked up a fuselage with Spencer when I was there, it was an F150 one, and it was SO light. Crazy how it adds up. Glad I have a full size truck. I believe in other heavy things like cheap lead acid batteries, heavy OBA compressors and tanks and other things. No heavy women though. I do not believe in those.

These are a couple pictures that I had wanted to see before I decided to buy that I never got to see so I thought I would share them.

Remove? I didn’t remove it from the truck. I have not heat sealed anything in my bed yet. The Camper had bulb seals and it’s actually impressive how little water got in after driving in a rain storm for 2 hours and then I pressure washed it yesterday. So far the bed leaks at the typical spots, no camper leak. I will attempt to force leaks after I make time to seal the bed.

nice makes sense you weighed it before. Been a long week. Def curling to see where we need to seal it. I get little to no water currently. And thanks for the photos, those are some I have wanted to see too. From the front the gap between can and tent doesn’t seem to bad. Looks much larger on side shots.

So quiet around here today. Where is everyone? It's like everyone went on holiday or something.

Got mine installed in the middle of December, can't thank the team enough! They were so professional and great to work with. Spencer is a good dude and he walked me through his iterations and design work thoroughly after I mentioned my manufacturing background. Have only spent 2 nights in it so far but it's been awesome! Been wiring up lights and other electronics in the meantime.

Went with a powerwerx 6 switch gang panel mounted into one of the bedside storage cubbies and have all the wiring hidden in there. I'll get some pictures later on.

I'm so pleased with the product. Rear visibility is as expected, pretty close to nil even with the rear window but I'm used it it already. This is also my daily driver.

One step closer to my interior lights, found a TW member who is making me some brackets to accommodate rock lights from the a-mazon. I’m putting at least 4 each of white and red, maybe up to six or maybe less, still have to play with output at night.
    3231CDC0-4733-4B73-BEBC-FFD6E85DE539.jpg 6BDBA863-D334-454D-A4B7-DEE36122E59A.jpg 72736BF7-8D63-44B1-BF6F-D485F4DB46E1.jpg A1607F0D-2A07-48C8-B5AF-C43959F5A686.jpg

Also having a panel made to mount on the passenger side front up against the window, utilizing the rivnuts up there for mounting. I plan to hide my terminal blocks and wiring back there, and might even be able to squeeze a BS fuse block too. None of it will be visible to the back of the truck. I’ll be able to drop the wires right down into that removable corner door on the frame of the X-1

Has anyone started a thread for super pacific build ideas/mods once in possession of the product?

Would be nice to have a thread intended for procurement, timeline, and fitting (Procurement Experience) of the Super Pacific while having another thread as a resource for build mods/alterations/post reviews after purchase.

Link? I have those lights in my canopy now, but would love to repurpose them for the SP.

This seems like it could serve as both?

Agreed. One stop shop. Multiple threads on the same thing gets annoying.

I was thinking of making a base plate out of plywood to serve as a base to start building out some things I have in my head once the X-1 is installed. I know Goose Gear has this:

    https://www.goose-gear.com/collecti...nt/products/tacoma-system-base-plate-long-bed

but if I'm not planning on using Goose Gear's stuff, it seems very expensive to purchase this. The question for those of you have have way more Taco knowledge than I do, could I use their files to print out a big giant template of the bed, trace that onto plywood and use that for my DIY baseplate that I could then build on?

Should be able to. If you look in the wedge life thread and vagabond thread I see that a lot. A ton of built out trucks there similar style setup.
