My wife picked up the check today for the equity in my trade in. I'm sure there was a bit of pucker factor at the dealership writing that check. ;)

    Soon to come
Hi guys! I'm new here. I'm shopping right now for a 2014 Tacoma DCLB 4x4 V6 TRD Sport Entune with Nav and Tow package and I'm trying to get it by the end of this month. Salesman quoted me $34,495. Just graduated and this will be my first car purchase. My questions are (1)around how much should I start my offer? and (2)salesman asked for a $500 deposit for him to get the car from another dealer, is there anyway i can get around this? Thanks for the help!

1)Go to truecar.com and offer $500 below whatever the quote is on there for the vehicle and options you want.
2)ask him if the deposit is refundable otherwise wait til you agree on price, get it in writing.

Should I pull the trigger on a 2014 Sport 4x4 DCSB Entune Plus no Navi no JBL Magnetic Gray for 34,100 otd or the Blue Ribbon Magnetic for 34,400 otd? Sticker MSRP is 33,484.00. Those deals sound pretty good otd? Invoice is 31928.

Are you sure? My DCSB 4x4 Offroad w/Entune plus was 30500 + fees, which I think was around invoice. $31,928 seems high for invoice.
