Last sunday, just picked up my 2014 Double Cab LB 4x4, TRD Sport with JBL Entune Nav. waited 4 months and finally came. Picked it up the same day it was delivered off the port with 6 miles.

Sticker was 35,860. Factory put in a exhaust tip that I didn't want but got it free anyways. Selling price 32,388. Out the door for 36,200 with the 8 year extended warranty bumper to bumper.

Picked up today. Tacoma Double Cab 4X4 V6 TRD Automatic with Entune™ Audio Plus Magnetic Grey. $30,049.24 plus TTL only 25 miles on the odometer. I think I got an ok deal. Still hard to swallow a mid size truck for over 30K!

The all weather floor mats came with my truck. They are listed at around $165 or so. Worthless in my opinion. I ordered Weathertech. The Toyota mats only cover the bottom portion where your feet rest. If you are in and out after being in the rain or snow, those mats just will not do the job.

If they are that junky then I will throw them on ebay for $100 and let somebody else take them off my hands and use them and I will order weathertech. My fiance has weathertech in her CRV and you are right they are awesome

Got my 2014 TRD Sport 4x2 with JBL Entune on it. I payed $31,100 OTD for it. After reading all the great deals people have been getting on their 4x4's I feel like I didn't get that great of a deal even thought I thought I had.

As long as your happy with the truck, don't worry about it. There are so many variables between dealers, regions, etc. that you need to take these prices with a grain of salt.

Also, a big unknown in this thread is the trade in that went along with the price. Some dealers will offer a great price on the truck but will make it up on trade. So in reality, you are paying sticker price.

For example, when pricing out my 2014, I had a subaru that kbb trade in value for excellent was 20k. Sticker on the truck was 32k. One dealer offered to sell the truck for 28k, but wouldn't go a penny higher than 16k on the trade. Another dealer said he would give me 18 for the trade, but wouldn't go lower than 30k for the truck. And a third dealer wouldn't go lower than 31k on the truck, but said he would pay 19k for the trade. If I went with the first dealer and posted it here, you would think I got a great deal, but in reality they are all the same deal.

You got a good point there. I didn't have a trade so I guess I got a decent price.

if you look on edmunds or the other website that I can't recall and compare your price, you can see what kind of deal you got. I had no trade-in and my car was 30,250 OTD. 31k+TTL was the going rate for my car and its features on edmunds so I looked at it as a win.

I know I posted to this thread earlier but I just finalized everything this weekend. My 2014 DCSB V6 5A 4x4 with SR5 and tow came out to $27400 + TTL. I am satisfied.

If I'm not mistaken, the msrp on that truck is $31,500. Did you take advantage of the college grad and millitary rebates?

Yes, though on paper I only got the military discount. I don't really care how they crunched the numbers, I'm happy with the price. Plus I bought it in an area where Tacomas are not very popular. They sell 5 Tundras for every one Tacoma.

2014 Regular Cab 4x4 Automatic in Magnetic Gray. Factory had already installed skid plate, Tacoma door sills, exhaust tip and threw in All Weather Mats. Sticker price was $24,240. I paid $22,400 plus ttl.

Probably not the best deal but I had to work hard to get that price. They only wanted to give me $500 off at first.

    But I love the truck.

Upgraded from my 99 extended cab TRD off road Tacoma (sold it for 6200) with the 2014. Got the DCLB 4X4 TRD sport, automatic, super white for 31,500 plus tax (MSRP 35250). Had to drive about 2 hours to get the truck tho. Local dealership's lowest price for the truck was 33150. Love this truck!

I feel like a Cheap ass, wehen everyone else paid so much for theirs... but they got 4 door trucks and 4x4's... I got an Access cab Base model with the base Entune, Carpeted floor mats and not much else... Automatic Trans - $22k That was 200 bucks more than I started at, and that was because I wouldn't want it without a Keyless entry of some kind. So they threw in a 50 dollar Keyless for 200 bucks. Traded in a 2012 xB Scion for it... Came out slightly better than even. At least I'm not more than "new car upside down" for a short time on this one... I have enough equity after the deal, I don't have a "gap" if I totaled it today.

I have been waiting a long time to buy a Taco, I tried last year but there were only 4 manual 6 speeds in the state so I waited until 2014.

I need some advice on how to deal with the dealer on ordering one. Manuals are very hard to find in the Bay Area so I have to order one. Here is what the dealer sent me:

Tacoma Access Cab V6 4x4, manual transmission, in Gray with Entune system, TRD Sport, tow pkg, and mats. The MSRP is $31450.00, and your price is $30750.00 plus t&l.

Sounds like a good deal but I have not seen the cut sheet on anything so who knows what the final price will be. So..... How have you guys dealt with ordering one? Do you ask for the price sheet, agree on a price, then sign the papers so the price is locked in? They want a deposit too.

I have never bought a new vehicle so I am not sure how all the BS works...

    Loren

PS has anyone had problems with manual trannies? I read that somewhere on this site. I may post that question elsewhere.

Just quickly researching the true market value on that vehicle (in northern California), it's apparent to me that, yeah, their initial offer is OK. At least it's not jacked up like everywhere else. Still, I would offer $28,000 for it and refuse to pay any fees other than tag/title. Make sure to go in at the end of the month. If you end up caving and paying even 29,000, you should still feel alright about it, but don't go over that if you want a deal. Don't let them guilt you or make you feel stupid for offering a lower price. If they catch on to the fact that you're a novice and are unsure of your offer, they'll talk you into higher price with all these reasons as to how they won't make any money on your offer. Trust me, they're making money. The invoice price is NOT what they paid to get the vehicle. It may be on paper, but they get all sorts of deals on it that you don't see.
