I can see that. I'm fearful that everything is converging to exclusively DCSB AT, and across all manufacturers.

The Xtracab might stay around for a while Toyota invested some money into that. The platform is also the world platform and those trucks sell elsewhere. Toyota looks like they are testing the GAF in NA before introducing it in the rest of the world.

If that xtracab area is only for storage, why not put the battery pack back there and make it a hybrid. I'd buy the hell out of that, at least if it came with a 6' bed.

I poked through those links but they seem mostly full of PB apologists, CR ranking notwithstanding. Anyhoo, wouldn't surprise that they have problems. I have a Ford sedan, not impressed, and I wouldn't put them in direct comparison to Toyota--yes, I know that's exactly what I did.

Doesn't matter because the PB is too much: too much HP and watts unless you crave RV life, too much cab unless you're doing jumping jacks in the back seat, and too much ass to park in town. And yet! Tacoma's comparable is far below those numbers and $14k more. What gives?

Hopefully the Scientologists at Toyota expand those configurations and not lock the best utility features behind the highest Operating Thetan levels.
