Is it hard to open them up? I'll be doing that soon.
I need someone to help me pull the plane out of the hanger on a cloudy day and I can get some new pictures. My knee won't let me pull it. I just went and tried earlier today....Actually hooked the winch to it to move it a little bit :D

I can help you if you want.
It's not super hard to open them. Just a really annoying process, and you just never really know if they're sealed back up perfectly. You just keep hoping.

Just ordered kickout sliders from @ArmorTech off road. DOM tubing, comes unassembled. @MatthewMay1 and I are gonna have our work cut out welding pieces up and installing. Or.. he'll be busy. I'll pay attention and wish I could weld.

Hey man just wondering if you could help me figure out a couple places in Oregon to visit? I plan on driving up and want to see a ton of the lakes and cool forests and not really sure which ones at this point. Figured you'd know since you're the Oregon state build haha

    Sliders... Work in progress.
Need to grind down some welds and paint the majority of the sliders up. Next week should be welding them onto the truck.
Thanks to @MatthewMay1 for showing me the basics to welding and helping me get these done!
Can't wait to see them on the truck.

    Update 3/25/16
Sliders welded up and welded onto frame, following a couple days down in Dallas with @MatthewMay1 and his welding skills. We ended up also doing a CMC for the heck of it, cause the sliders were kinda rubbing on the bottom weld of the mounts.
Self etching primer and Rustoleum satin black.

I'm particularly proud of my weld for this plate here...

Then added some 3M grip tape for better grip per the wife's request.

Installed CB and auxiliary back up light. Cut out a small opening in the center dash plastic in front of the cupholders so the back of the CB slides right in over the airbag control panel. It's perfect fit and hides the wires and keeps the CB flush behind the cupholders. Antenna mounted over the tail light. Still needs to be tuned.
Only issue I'm having is that when I turn on my rear light, it cuts out my video feed for the back up camera. I have no idea why. But it kind of defeats the purpose in having extra light for the back up camera, if the camera shuts off or the video feed is interrupted.

Thinking these will be my next tires. Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285 70 17.
    upload_2016-4-7_11-32-56.jpg

These are 10 ply, but only 55 lbs, which is about the same weight as my current tires, which are 265 70 17. Only $185 and very well reviewed tire.

Just ordered a new brake caliper and new pads. My driver side caliper has had a seized piston for over a year and I've been too absent minded to fix it until now. Figure I should do that before driving clear across the nation and back. Centric caliper and centric posi quiet pads from Tirerack. Wonder if I'll see my gas mileage go up a little bit after I replace the caliper, considering it takes some effort to turn the tire when the truck is jacked off the ground.
Sometime this summer will be new tires. Still thinking the Falken's.
