Yep....I want to park the truck in the garage....If I had a 3 car garage it wouldn't be for sale. To be honest I lost interest in it over the last year or so. Brian

Yeah I was curious Vette you were selling. Sorry to here. I have had Vettes most of my life. My 19 Z06 is stored away in my garage for the winter. It nice when you an keep your vehicle in the garage stays much nicer.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Some of us over in the Inferno thread were wondering how these two colors compared. Our local dealership has a Pro in stock, and if I could afford both, it'd be in my driveway. I love the Inferno color, but the SO has grown on me. Not trying to start a :crapstorm: but a couple of pics on a partly cloudy day for comparison. I'm hoping someone in our local area gets this and we can get out on the trails!

Sold the Corvette today....Guy drove almost 4 hours and braved the 14 deg's and 30 mph winds to inspect her and drive it back home.

Now I have to rip out some cabinets on the back wall of the garage so the Tacoma will fit.

It was this or black as I wanted a MT. It was sunny and I couldn't stop looking at it. This color changes so much based on lighting. Look at the area under the passenger headlight and the different colors in there. And then at part in the shade.

I also like a nice covering of trail dirt and mud.

I would drive either, or both!

You might have to be more clear. Some people thing of a topper/camper shell with the term "camper" others will think of something like a full blown slide in camper. Which do you mean?

To answer it as I perceive it, I am really considering getting the GFC Topper and mounting my RTT on top of it. If not that, then I'll cut down my bed rack from the Tundra and use it to mount the RTT. Kinda liking the idea of enclosed space in the bed though.

I'm just thinking like a typical topper from say Leer or ARE....Just wondering if those brands offer a color match yet and how well they are going to match it. I'm too cheap to buy new I would have to have it painted or just spray it flat black.

Ah, I follow. I would think paint matching would be just like any other pearl paint, and thus entirely dependent on who is painting it and their attention to detail. If the paint code is provided they should be able to do a decent job of matching.

As for cost, I'm not sure what it would cost to get a topper repainted after buying used vs buying new and already in the correct/desired color. What does a used topper generally cost on the used market? Black is an easy way to go because it goes with everything if you ever decide to sell it, and it is pretty easy to touch up when needed. The new option is more expensive (maybe?) but it also lets you pick your features/functions instead of having to pick from whatever is available.

Personally, after spending MSRP on a Pro to get the exact truck I wanted I am willing to shell out for something new that is also exactly what I want.

For me to buy one it would have to be a killer deal....Got a color matched Leer for my 99 Tacoma at an estate sale for $75. No way to find one that cheap for a 23 but I have seen them for under a grand, probably cost another $400-$500 to paint it. $1500 used -vs- say $3000 to $3500 new...? I'm just guessing at those numbers.

Wow. That's much less than I've ever seen them. With that perspective I'd likely go used as well. Quick search brought up this one, and only this one, in a reasonable area. It's got some issues and is $1300 before any painting.
