It took a few weeks but finally got to the mountains. Drove an easy trail and got pics at the top, near Fairplay, Colorado

 

Finally got me a tonneau cover....Ended up getting a good deal on a Bakflip MX4.

 

Mine w/285/75-16 toyo rt trail, stock suspension. Bora 3/4" spacer.

 

I posted this question in the detailing forum but I haven't gotten any responses. Which product is better at protecting the Bakflip MX4 303 or ceramic....?

Put a set of sequential blackout turn signals on. I love the looks and they are much brighter even with the blackout lenses. Taking the mirror caps off wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.

Looks great! Are these synced to the headlight turn signals? I’ve been wanting to upgrade, but haven’t done so because it would drive me crazy if the the lights were not perfectly synced.

 

They are not….good thing is you can’t see them when you are driving.

 

Bumping this thread because this is my favorite color and I need to see more.

 

I originally was going to go used with army green or lunar rock. So happy with my orange. I thought it would be a love hate thing with people but everyone I've talked to loves it. A guy flagged me down leaving the gas station the other day just to tell me it's awesome. Yes sir, I'm aware!

 

It will be a somewhat fun collector truck in 30+ years. The fact that it's the only year of solar octane as a g3 and only a pro color will make it extra fun. So hold on to it. There will be millions of g4s in Solar octane. But thousands of g3s



That 91 will be Gloss metalic black in less then a week. It looks like extra shit because I'm sanding it.

 

My temp tag expires in 2 weeks and I'm now crushed. We have new dinosaur plates with an orange dino I was going to get. Now I see I can't get them until January 1st. Bummer, I thought they would look great on it. I guess I'll transfer my orange Broncos plates to it which will still look good but damn, I thought the dino was way cool

Wondering if anyone has seen any pics of an aftermarket wheel on a solar octane Taco or 4R in a color other than black?

The interweb is seemingly very lacking in pics other than a steelie white-wheeled 4R and a video from Westcott Designs of one with what looks like a magnetic gray wheel. I did also find one Taco pic on the SCS website.

 

I wanna play, got my manual solar octane this morning. Called my dealer 2 months ago asked if they had any manual pros coming? Yup got a solar octane should be here in 2 months. Cool put a deposit down and waited. Truck showed up exactly when they said it would. Traded a 17 colorado zr2 basket case and my 22 manual corolla, numbers looked good. Picked up my taco this morning. Always wanted one, I like old tech and reliability. Don't like the 4th gen at all.

I’m liking the color more everyday.

 

It's a great color. Looks fluorescent orange in the sun. Matte orange when it's overcast and red when it's overcast and low light. Saw an electric lime pro in Nelson bc yesterday, it was alot darker then I expected. IMO It goes solar octane, electric lime, Voodoo blue, lunar rock, quicksand, cement then everything else. As long as it's not black white or silver I like it.
