"THE ORIGINAL" 2023 TACOMA TRD PRO COLOR "SOLAR OCTANE" THREAD

Someone found a storage area full of orange paint from 2016?

 

Guess a V8 in the Tacoma would be ok for those folks who want it, rather have a 3.0 4 cylinder diesel. For how small these trucks are, they should be getting 30 mpg, diesel would get it there, and put the torque curve lower in the rpm range.

There almost was a diesel dually Tundra, but the economic crash in ‘08 skidded it to a stop. Their Sema concept had underpinnings from their Hino medium duty line.

I think Toyota Forklifts are that color, maybe they had some extra paint leftover.

That actually looks pretty cool. But yeah, bummed it isn't a yellow. Given that the 4runner is due for a refresh first, I wonder if that means 2024 taco will be the final one on this platform before they jump to new one? So there might be one more pro ?

 

Ya, I have to say.. and I own electric lime.. that's a bad taco look. I was hoping it would have a taco rebirth.. I was fine with convict orange if it had tundra electric assist.. ill stick with lime.

 

Looks better on a Forklift than a truck.

 

I’ve had a TBI and am extremely sensitive to light, the feeling I get looking at this truck is similar to the unpleasantness I have while driving with glare in my eyes.

 

Quicksand was the Pro color for 2016 dawg

 

It does look beter on the Forklift. The Forklift looks more orange, it might be a different color. Looks like a dark shade of dayglo orange. Could be the lighting, and it's probably a different type of paint. I like the forklift better.

I don't think the multicam works with SO, black flares would look better. I don't mind the camo seat inserts, but could live with out it.

They've really missed the boat by never giving us Tonka Yellow

 

Tacoma on top of the below 4runner seals the deal for me that yellow needs to be the next pro color.
