the last epiosode was an emotional rollercoaster.




I may have cried

 

Yea man... That it was. You always know when something is good when you go through all the human emotions when you watch it.

 

Very true. at the very end of the episode when the veterans were talking about it and then there was a wife and daughter that talked about how their father/husband would wake them up in the middle of the night screaming from nightmares, and she said that happend the rest of his life.

 

I know my Dad has had nightmares from his experiences with the U.S.M.C. and Iwo Jima. He's 84 now and as a child I can remember his screams waking up myself and my two brothers...what a scare that was for all of us. It's only been in the last 3-4 years that he has really opened up to me about his experiences and what happened. Iwo was a big part of it. God bless those men for their service and maybe shithead Obama will someday realize what he is throwing aside by missing Memorial day at Arlington. Guys like him just don't get it...and sad to say they never will!

 

2 words...."Fuck Obama!"

 

I missed it... he isn't going to be at Mem. Day here? Where is he going?

FYI: HBO is re-airing the entire series Memorial Day weekend - episodes 1-5 Sunday afternoon, episodes 6-10 Monday afternoon. So if you missed one the first time, fire up your DVR.

Ah I see... i musta missed that when the net was degraded this week... Doh!

 

Bought the box set, and watched all 10 this week.. wow. amazing series!

 

the commercials are tempting me to rewatch the series...
