To be honest. I use to drive my truck like a car/ rally car. Since I took it off Ive been driving alot slower. I use to drive over 80 on the free way all the time. Now I do about 65 in the slow lane. I drive the speed limit on streets instead of 10 over. Honestly because my driving has changed It might be safer. Also my milage has been better since I slowed down.

Could I argue my 4x4 without a swaybar is safer with me driving then a prerunner with a sway bar and a fast driver?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I guess the sway bar does a lot more on your 3rd gen trucks that I didn't even know were out yet.

I don't know but I had an old 2002 Explorer where it actually rusted through .... never thought of the liability aspect of it.

Still cracking up here... Kind of sorry I asked now:) So let me see if I got this right...

I take the SB off: I'm driving the freeway at 70 mph. Suddenly I see an Insurance adjuster dart out into my lane- DON'T SWERVE! Just hit the MFer!

I leave the SB on: Just wrap the SOB with bacon and it works fine!

    Thanks for the help!:)

shit I drive just as fast as I did with it on, there's more body roll, but it handles on the dirt a lot better, and street driving youd have to yard your truck really hard to flip it

I've had deer jump out of the ditch I couldn't even see as I approached , also had them come out of the trees at a full run and cross the road with no warning , especially during the rut

It happens , doesn't matter what speed you are driving

I removed my sway bar and went for a drive and thought I was going to die.

This is the first car/truck I've owned that had more than 3inches of ground clearance. Everything else was lowered, very tight suspensions that had almost no body sway/travel at all. So I'm just not used to feeling body sway at all and it freaks me the fuck out. :D

Ok I'll play. I am not a lawyer but I have flirted with one in a bar. Will a modification void your insurance. It depends. For example your house. Everybody and his brother has run wire and added switches to their house. If the house burns down because of an electric issue, the insurance will have big issues if they try to deny the claim. This is because there is so much non-standard (not to code) wiring out there that it is defacto standard.

So changing your tire size and you roll your car. "Within reason" you are ok. Remove your sway bar? It depends on the liability. If the claim damage is within auto averages (1-2 thousand), it costs too much to go after you. If the claim is for a few hundred thousand. You bet they will bring in experts who may notice the lack of a sway bar. So if you remove your sway bar, I would not post it online.

X-Runners were built for handling. 4x4 and prerunner were built for off roading, poser looks, mall crawling, and basic transportation. That can apply to either trucks or both. :p
