    For a minute I thought you were trying to seduce me.

    I like to go on either side of Assateague Island or off of Wallops Island on the NASA base. I'm a pretty novice surf fisher, I grew up river fishing in the James. @Chase8059 would be able to give you better recommendations for out here, he grew up here.

    Out here it really is about having a decent rod/real and line, but it's mostly about the right bait and time of year from what I've learned.

    You've learned well grass hopper. Bait, time of year, time of day, and tide all influence what we fish for. I enjoy fishing off the beach which heats up in the spring and fall when Stripers, Black drum, and Red drum are arround. Summer time is mostly small stuff, spot, kingfish (whiting), bluefish, undersize flounder, etc.

    If your making a trip, it's gonna heat up soon. The first big red drum was caught off assateague today. When they get thick, it's a helluva time off the beach.
