Ok. I’m going pink with my badges.

This is my first time plasti dipping, so I’m practicing on the least visible (hidden by my swingout)

No need to get that precise with the tape. Just tape a rectangle around it and dip it all. When you peel off the rectangle, it’ll come off but the letters will stay pink (because they’re slightly raised off the truck)

Speaking of painting grills. I’m gonna de chrome mine by painting it black.

Did you pull the plastic chrome part from the black plastic frame of the grill? Wouldn’t that require breaking off these plastic hold down tabs in the back of the grill?

When I painted mine I just taped off the center part. On my old 2015 I could separate the surround from the grille, but on my 2005 they were plastic welded together.

Paint does not stick to chrome well at all. Be sure so scuff and prime the chrome before you paint it.
