Met up with Mike @dcsbtaco for some brunch and to exchange kind words about chrome wheels







Picked up a Leer 100R used has two sliding windows one with a screen, sliding front window, headliner, just needs to be painted, fiberglass cracks filled, the whole thing bent inward a little as you can see on the bottom right of the window, Still need to wire up everything and build a sleeping platform. Find a used roof rack to mount then add my RTT on top. Lots of work todo but for $400 seems okay. Big thanks to @ERMB and @TacoSTIG for advice on picking a shell and all my non stop questions!

Looks pretty good Rhett! I think for sure it looks like you've got a lot of room to bring the two back corners in. Start with the back left side loosen the clamp and have someone push in the corner while the other tightens the clamp back up. Then move over to the other side and do the same. I think after that you'll see that gap close up.

 

Thanks! Scott, it's weird tho the clamps are lined up right so that's odd. But I'll give that a try and I'm gunna see what a local leer shop will tell me cus this is prolly a common problem

 

That hole that the bolt goes through if I remember correctly is an oval so it gives you a little bit of play...I think. Not sure if I'm confusing it to my old tonneau cover. Either way it's probably going to be a 2 person job in order to do it. Maybe if carefully done you could use a ratchet strap to pull it closer, but someone pushing from the outside otta do it.

After some convincing from @dcsbtaco debadged the tailgate and will do the sides later
