Those are almost 90*. If they don't settle down, I suggest moving the flip kit brackets forward a hole. You want around 45-50* at ride height

Hmm. I guess the archive garage one is different than the ATO one. Looks like you don't have any options to move them without drilling new holes. Maybe those angles are good but not what I've seen or heard. Maybe that's just how that kit is

Yes, you're correct. I suggest you move it forward 1 position when you have time. The angles you are seeing is the result of the shorter length Dakar's.

And when you move it forward your back end will lower a bit and won't look raked so much.

Debating on going with the allpro softopper bed rack with a soft shell
    vs
    shell with rack
    vs
a nice brute force or something bed rack
    vs
    Flippack!

I would love to build some bed drawers to help with the cluster of stuff in my cab for recovery and tools and all but dont want to constantly be replacing the wood becuase I have them out against the elements. Figure shell and prinsu rack is the most expensive option if I go new. My gf loves the look of the flippack jonburtt has on instagram but idk since its like 5800 and hard to get with the company being closed. Well see...
I was planning on doing gears and locker and air compressor as half of the stuff to buy next year.

If you like to wheel do the lockers and gears first. Otherwise, flippac=$$$$, bed rack over soft top is ugly. Shell with roof rack is my vote.

hard to find a shell for good price and prinsu rack would be my choice. Seems like most shells arent my color so I price it like this
    -shell $600-800 used not MGM
    -rack prinsu $400
-OEM tracks for the rack $90
-paint to color match $400 maybe

Flippac isn't worth it for the amount of times you'll actually use it. And for that money you'd be better off just buying a dedicated expo trailer and not have to pack up camp every time you want to move your truck.

Gears and rear locker at least are a must for plenty of more useful reasons

Gears and lockers if you really really like the "wheeling" aspect; shell and rack if you like the camping aspect more right now. Got to flip the coin. I voted gears and a rear locker for me first so I could get a RTT and front locker later, money was tight. Now I'm saving for a front locker. Easier and less expensive to do a front locker when regearing so keep that in mind.
