The Pirhett Ship BS Build

Got the bushing installed. So far I can't tell if it affected my hood or anything like some people have mentioned. I did notice however that now I have an even larger gap between my front Pelfreybilt bumper and the fenders. Bothers me since I already hated the .25-.5 inch space but now I'm coming in on .75 inch gap. Also got around to re painting parts of my sliders that got scratched up in valley of the moon to prevent scratches.
Also while I was down there I took a can of fluid film to my frame and to touch up the fluid film on my leaf pack and shackle flip to keep it quiet

 

Just thinking out loud but I wish AT habitat would just make more flip pac style habitats rather than the new style that opens backwards. Would love to get my hands on a flip pac in a couple years when I have the money...

 

sucks cus the space from bumper to fender got bigger but while driving I dont get any strange sounds from the front and when I hit some bumps the front feels more firm. I think since inverting the spacers and having the bigger one on top its a lot bigger in circumference and better holds the radiator and weight.

 

true just want to get one like yours in a few years so hopefully they arent extinct by then lol

 

Curious for future reference where is everyone buying their 315/75/16r Good year MTRs? I eventually want some next year or the following if budget requires I still with 33s.

 

Getting a strange clicking sound while driving, coming mainly from front passenger area. Just got new pads installed on breaks...

 

Do you happen to have your AC or Heat on? Only reason I ask is that motor can make a clicking sound sometimes.

Mine started doing it randomly awhile ago and I noticed on the back of the AC control panel that one of the pins had been getting hot and had started scorching the connector. Took it to Toyota and they said it was the pin that controlled the motor and that it had just gotten loose. So they tightened it back in and it seems to have fixed the problem. Not sure if that's what your hearing though.

 

I'll check mine and see how I installed mine. shouldnt be that much gap..

Question about the fluid flim, why put it on frame? It is to keep dirt off or just like a rust preventative measure? Keep up the good work on the build, liking it!

rust mainly and to keep it looking good. Dirt actually kinda sticks to it

Guess what that clicking sound was my caliper rubbing on my balance weights in me wheel... got it re balanced with less weights but taller weights in a different location to fix it!

Well after my recent accident and the small bends in the frame I decided its time to visit the one responsible to for making and spending all of @Trigo money hahah! Dropping the truck off tomorrow evening/night to get the frame bends right where the hitch bolts up straightened, frame plates (windowed) welded in, and two new crossmember made to make the rear end bomb proof and prevent any future bending! So excited!

Above are some of the stuff Jeff can do, easy to see why Ill be having him work on mine!

 

Should be getting the truck today from @jeffz0rz ! Dropped it off late Sunday night and its almost done! Super fast and Im stoked!

On another positive not I got my @At The Helm bed stiffeners with bottle opener yesterday and got 2 coats of primer on them before it got too dark.

Prior to taking the truck to Jeff I took off the RTT with some help from my buddy and the bed bars. Did 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of spray on bed liner so those should be looking new again!

Going to have to rewire a lot since my rats nest got chopped by Jeff when taking the bed off!

 

Anyone here have the older model archive garage shackle flip with dakars? I wanna drill the holes to get to 45 degrees but wanna see some pics
