    Just getting started.
    Did you remove the whole grill to get the surround off? I tried to remove it without taking the grill off but the screws gave me problems backing them out.

    i think im going to plasti dip the shit out of my truck in the up comming future. gun metal grey wheels, grille surround, chrome bumpers, door handles, and fender trim. im going for a grey theme.

    I just finished putting on the 4th and final coat on my 2012 grill....and so far it looks bitchen! Looks like the rear bumper is next and then maybe the rims. This plasti dip is freaken awesome!

    I'll post pics of the grill sometime tomorrow :D

    I'm most def sure bed liner would be the better option especially for nerf bars. More durable and you can easily touch up too if you're using the spray type.

    edit: As for primer, when i did my chrome bumper i just roughed it up with 100 grit and 320 grit paper and then a good coat of self-etching primer. then 3-4 good coats of rustoleum bed liner. so far so good.

    ya im not plasti dipping my sliders, they get dragged and scraped too much, the plasti would just start peeling off, i would rather have paint chip then the plastic peel. i guess nerf bars dont see much scraping though. still for durability i would not plasti dip em

    I am thinking about doing it since mine is scratched to hell and covered with chips as well,

    I was hoping I could find pictures

    who all thinks i should do my chrome grill till i get a new one? the emblem is done. but not the outer part. thought about doing it till i can get a color matched satoshi. think i’ll do my rear bumper soon. idk if i want it black or matched. any one have thoughts on that?

    yeah i did all 3 “tacoma” badges. looks good. and so does the toyota emblem on front grill. holding up good i did it all last may. or 1st week of june. look at my build and i have a few pic.

    I lean toward doing it because it is removable and cheap, if I dont like it, off it comes. my dark blue paint is the only reason I don't know how it will look......the more I think about it, the more I want to do it

    how long did the center console take to dry?

    oh ya, I did see your pic of that, I was looking for the cup holder surround (silver part) in a manual, looks a bit different

    but this gives me a pretty good idea
