When you guys plasti your valance do you have to cut the tape off? Or just let it dry and it comes off clean?

I removed the tape on the sides after each coat and it came out good. It was easy to retape just the sides. Good luck

    Definitely happy with the results..
Already took it though a drive thru car wash with no problems of it peeling or anything like that..

Turned out great. Did you take your wheels off or did you keep them off and tape off accordingly?

Im too lazy to take them off so I just took some plastic bags and threw them over the rotors/brakes and taped them off. Waaay more quicker IMO.

I'm going to ask this with the expectation that everyone's going to say it's a bad idea....

What about using Plasti-Dip for a BHLM?

    :crapstorm:

Been wanting to take the headlight inserts, my grill, rear bumper, and front bumper into a paint shop to get them all done (in black), but thinking that derping them might be quicker, easier, and cheaper (three things that usually don't work together very well, hence my hesitation)

    TRD offroad or sport?

I have an offroad and have been thinking about adding accents with plasti-dip, if I do I will post pics.

Will you post pics if you do?

I did my 2003 Tacoma chrome lip in front, grill, emblem, badges, as well as my rear bumper black. They look SOO sweet! I'll upload some pics soon. I used about 2.5-3 cans on the rear bumper just to get it real thick and tough, and about 2 in the front as well to defend against incoming pebbles on the road.

I have had a few pits put in the front from small rocks, but just blast a bit more plasti, and it fills it evenly.

I did my emblems as well, but didn't use the sharpest knive to cut around, so they are sort of teary on the edges, but from a distance look sweet black.

Wheels are next when we get a sunny day!

Bottom line, super easy to apply and update, cheap, and pretty durable.

I was going to get all of the items powder coated, but saw it would be very pricy $$$. This is my quick and dirty option to get it done, but might coat them in the future if I feel like plasti isn't cutting it.

But as of now, Plasti Dip is awesome!
