You can't tell unless you're up close, but I'm gonna do another can... the edges didn't get a good coat.... Plus I plan on doing the rear bumper and the center of the lower valence, so I figure that's a nice round 6 cans (to a case) to order...

I swear I saw somewhere where I could order a case at $24.... gonna have to remember where I saw that at now

keep in mind that the more coats you put, the easier it will come off. try not to go past 3/4 coats (this is after you have laid the first primer coat, spraying enough to get the surface corse enough for the dip to apply itself, if you have something to test the dip on, you will see how it won't apply itself to the object your trying to dip with the first spray).

most guys don’t take it off. most just tape it off with painters tape. and i think most are using 1 can.

    Wrong.

If you paint over rust it continues to rust under the paint and will spread causing the paint to bubble and eventually eating all the way though.

I think he is talking about my hood

I already know about the rust
I will use a drill and wire brush and get off a much rust as possible. The. A rust killer

Then coat it, though I may get something different than plasti dip

I found some stuff that is the same but harder to take off (I wouldn't put it on car paint, but undercarriage should be fine)

i know that. i thought he was plasti dipping it not painting. yes paint you have to clean all the rust. also did not know his bumper had rust.

i don’t think most guys take it off to plasti dip they just tape it off.

Please post pics, cause I am trying to figure out what to do with my chrome bumper. Once my homertaco grill comes in soon, my rear bumper will be the only chrome on my truck.

will do! yeah only chrome i have is grill and bumper. i’m going to get one of his grills also, and have it color matched.

if in 3 or 4 weeks i like my bumper black. i will take it off and paint it, or bed line it.

Imo, do it. it should all be enough for one can to handle (considering your not going nuts on coating and such - min. coats are 3 to 4).
