I never had a problem with heat when I did mine. They lasted about 4 months before they started to peel.

    Badges and front bumper done.

Not sure if I want to waste time on the chrome grill for now since I'll be getting one from HomerTaco hopefully within a year.

I think it looks better than the day I bought it. Due for a car wash though. I was going to wash it on Thursday, but since I was dipping the bumper today, I decided to wait til next Thursday.

It's tricky though. You either have to be quick and spray your coats fast and remove when it's still wet or let some time between coats and let it tack up and use a razor blade VERY CAREFULLY. I did the latter and they came out fine, no damage to the lens.

I don't know. I'm guessing a combination of the super slick headlights and at least a dozen trips to the car wash with the high pressure sprayer. The car wash was what started it peeling, then I gave up and made it permanent.

I used electrical tape for the peel line. I peel it at almost a straight down angle to give it a sharp edge where peeling. As well as doing a quick 4-5 coats within 3 or 4 min, and peeling right away.

I actually blew on them to help speed up the process.

I also baked one in the over at 250 for 10 min to get the moister out of it for resealing with the dipped eyelid and the eyelid didn't have a problem at all.

Now this is Plasti-Dip done right!
