As long as it is applied properly you shouldn't have any issues.

The dirt will come off easily. Wash it with Simple Green and water. They also sell Brake Dust Pro on DYC.com. it might be $20/bottle but it works awesome.

So, I ordered 4 cans of anthracite and 2 cans of glossifier for my rig. I was hoping to do the wheels, front grill and side badges. Do you think I need another can? Also, does the glossifier add any thickness to the dip for peel-ability? ( I was hoping to do 3 coats of color and 2 coats of glossifier, but I don't know how that will hold up) Thanks, in advance for the help!

If I was you I would head to Home Depot or Lowes and get 3-4 cans of black. Use the black as a base coat(2 coats) to save Anthracite. The gloss will help with peelability a bit but nothing huge.

So I would do 2 coats of black, 2-3 of Anthracite and 2-3 of gloss.

nah it shouldn't affect the Anthracite. I believe Fonzie(DYC) did a video about it. I think the R8 go Anthracite over matte black.

Yeah, I got an email yesterday that updated the shipper... BUT, when follow the link, I'm still not getting any transit information. So, it looks like DYC updated the shipping information, but the product hasn't actually shipped yet.

Is that what you're seeing on your end as well?

They actually generated a whole new shipping label, sent a new email and following the new link it is enroute from Deerfield Beach to me. I will get on Thursday, looks like I better strip the plastic off my bumper now.

Checking my original shipped email, that link still says that the label was produced on June 26 but hasn't been updated since with ANY info.

So to answer your question, I have two different tracking numbers through UPS. One is active and enroute. The other hasn't been updated since two weeks ago. My guess is they just slapped a new label over the old and completed my order. That's a real bitch yours doesn't show yet

Have you seen the Harley-Davidsons with the "denim" or matte finishes? They look nice until you get a scratch, a dent, a boot scuff, etc. Let me throw a link to you about the matte finish from H-D. There are suggesting a matte finish film.

This looks schweet... I'm curious can you leave all the masking on until it's dry? I currently have my bumpers and grille dipped and when I did them I was afraid the dip would dry over the tape and it would all try to come off when I peel the tape off. Can you get a clean edge after it is dry? I basically sprayed one thick coat and then peeled all the masking quick before it dried. It came out looking fine but it's kinda hectic spraying then peeling really fast

You did it right. You can put on a first coat that is still somewhat light without peeling the tape. Your heavier coat will cover the tape and if you don't peel while it's wet, you edges will be curled over and not have a sharp definition. That's if the derp doesn't outright peel in jagged strips from pulling the tape after it's dry.

I VERY CAREFULLY used a razor blade to score the edge and it has worked great numerous times. Just have to use extreme caution go slow and just score it. I had to do this when I created some derp eyelids. Had to have about 7 coats so the light wouldn't shine through.

Like stated, you did it right. When you do the bumper/grille just leave a 1/2 inch gap and you can let it dry. If you try and make a clean line and let it dry it will just all peel up and/or rip.
