Sorry if I missed you already answering this, but have you considered, or done, the glossifier on top? I am currently considering the anthracite for my wheels.

Is the matte gray I see at HD the same as the anthracite everyone is mentioning?

I think it may be a tad lighter but kind of close to it.

No, not even close. Gunmetal is like blue gray, and anthracite is metallic dark gray.

Anthracite is hard to find. You pretty much have to order it

So the other night I experimented with Plasti-Dip Smoke on my 3rd brake light. It's pretty interesting, it's not dark at first, it takes a whole lotta coats to get it tinted. I gotta do a few coats on my tail lights to even it out. I'll post pics tomorrow

I got some questions regarding the guys who dipped their wheels:

What you guys use to clean your dipped rims?
Is it safe to use Meguairs all wheel cleaner?
What cleaner do you folks use?

Ive seen online where you can buy a spray from DYC.com that cleans the rim without damaging the dip.

I learned quickly that cleaning the wheels with most cleaners was ineffective, there is always some residue left on the wheel. A trick that I use after washing mine with just soap and water is to spray some armor all tire black on the wheel and rub it in with a cloth. Makes it look freshly dipped and last quite awhile. This is on matte black dipped wheels.

Ill just use some regular car soap then try out the tire black. Will the back to black by mothers work?

    Thanks for the tip!

Best thing to use is alcohol in my opinion. Rubbing alcohol that is. Dries quickly and your able to start laying down your coats 5 minutes after cleaning. The one thing you want to make sure is that everything is dry, especially if you use soap and water. Make sure there's no water hiding under a crease because when it runs then the dip job doesn't come out smooth. I learned the hard way

dude those wheels are sick. what brand/type are they?

    edit:
nvm, procomp beadlocks. did you have to use the spidertrax spacers to clear with the wheel or is it just because you have massive tires lol?

I am not sure if the back to black will work. I have tried the armor all protectant for trim and dash plastics too and it did not work as well as the armor all extreme tire black. Tire black in a spray bottle works the best from my experience.

so do you think a 1/4" spacer with longer studs would clear the caliper in the front with these wheels?
