    I tried plasti-dipping my badges today. When I peeled the tape off, it also peeled the plasti-dip off the badges. Gonna have to re-do them. Thinkin about takin the badges off and painting them then puttin them back on. What kind of tape is everyone usin to put them back on?

    It will pull the dip off. Don't put the tap to close to the badges. Just tape some newspaper on your truck so you don't get it all over it. Let it dry for about an hour so you can pull it off easier. If it still starts to peel off while your peeling with your fingers try to tack a toothpick or something of that nature and go around them.

    i thought i saw someone use a heat gun to lightly scorch it and it turned back to the original black....but i could be wrong.

    I use d tape on all 4 and had problems with 1 rim, it formed a huge bubble and I had to peel it off, so I used index cards instead. It was much faster and looked wayyyy cleaner

    I posted this somewhere else yesterday, but didn't get any replies....so I'll try in a thread that's actually alive.

    Has anyone used any other color besides black? I was thinkin about painting my grill surround and it'd bhe a lot easier if the white plasti-dip matched the super white paint.

    Not sure. I only saw it in black when I picked mine up. But then again I wasn't really looking since I was focused on the black.

    i just spray/wipe tire-shine onto mine a couple times a year. works like a charm

    try a product called "Trim Shine", I know it sounds like something your girl would use to shave but it works.

    yea i use black magic tire shine oil stuff it works okay but i do it evertime i was on all my plastics
