Have not had any issues with mud staining. Not on matte black or blaze blue plasti dip. I have yet to try the gunmetal gray sitting on my desk

I had mud staining on mine, if I still had my dip on i could show you. I hit a small hole by my house, mostly sand, and left it on there for at least a week and it didn't want to come off.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
Hey guys, I dipped my wheels and I'm getting new tires, they scuffed up the edges really bad, any idea how to fix this? Or should I redo them

Hey man if you have spots that are peeling try to cut the peeling spots with a sharp razor. Then just spray the spots that need it. About 3-6 coats for those spots. then one final coat for the rim.

    Plasti-Dip makes a clear spray. Personally I didn't clear coat, I wanted a "flat" look.

X2, but if the original plasti color is faded you may have to respray the entire rim. You can peel and redo, or clean and spray over.:D

Was thinking about plasti dipping my entire truck with the "dipyourcar" kit. Everyone says it's easy and it looks bad ass. My question is has anyone on here ever plastidipped their entire truck?

There have been a couple people who have. What I heard from doing it is that you have to worry about scratches if you off road because a stick will do so. Also it fades with time if you choose certain colors and also its hard to keep clean. Dirt loves sticking to my black dipped camper shell and looks dirty all the time, couldn't imagine a whole truck.

One person I know regretted dipping his jeep because it was a pain, ripped, and faded. Said it wasn't worth the time and money put into it

Ya I am still debating on it, If I don't like it I can just peel it off. But I know they have stuff to harden it and make it smooth just like a cars surface..

Thinking about dipping my hood and roof after dipping my fuel door yesterday. Thoughts & suggestions? Does someone want to talk me out of it? I'm on the fence about it. Don't want to order the 'dipyourcar' kit because I will not need that much dip, but I don't really know how much I WILL need. Also, for huge areas like that, I am afraid I will mess up and get uneven coats or small scuffs & chips. Also, I did about 8 thin coats on my fuel door but I feel like I would need more on the hood & roof

Of course, doesn't everything cost money?

Haha no, if you have money to spray your vehicle to see if you like it and if you don't then peel it off. Little bit of a waste
