This^ But try using fishing line instead of the 550 cord or paracord, Make sure you use gloves because it will cut into you hands/fingers. Sun or no sun, a heat source will be a must for you. Primarily do to the age of the truck and how long it has been on there for. Move the fishing line in a sawing motion as you work your way across the emblem. Reapply heat as necessary. It is easier to have a second set of hands to operate the heat gun/hair dryer but not necessary. Do remember this, those emblems have been on there since the truck was new. The paint under them have not been exposed to the elements as the rest of the truck has. You will most likely be irritated by the "ghosting" image of the emblem that you will end up with. I would suggest a good cleaning of the truck followed with a clay bar application then wash and wax and buff. It is a lot to do to eliminate the ghosting but you will be much happier with the end results.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I used plasti dip and spread the emblems on my truck about a couple months ago. I did a really crummy job and just kept it becuase it wasnt too bad. But now I want to remove the pasti dip from the embles completely. What would be the best process in getting off all that? Thanks

WD-40 will melt the Dip. Spray on, let it sit, wipe off

If you put on enough coats then it should just peel off. That is the great thing about plastidip. If you don't like it take it off and try something different. Might need to use a toothpick is some of the small areas inside the area to help out. If the coats are to thin then use some WD-40. It will melt it away like then just wash afterwards.

Just throwing my 02 cents in...I found the best way to remove the "extra" plastidip from in between the letters (O, A) was the to use a toothpick, as everyone else has suggested. However, by simply rolling the toothpick between your fingers in a circle, the plastidip wraps itself around the toothpick and easily comes off. Works 1000 times better than simply picking at it, IMO. Has anyone else discovered this trick?
