Going to hit up the local hardware store tomorrow for a can or two, but have a couple ?'s

I see it comes off painted surfaces fairly easy, but what about plastic (if I don't like it), and how well does it hold up to heat and repeated washes?

I've only ever derped the badges on my vehicles. I've never done larger areas but the badges are plastic and the dip held up great. Anything short of a direct rock impact should be fine if applied properly. My Yaris' badges held up through two Canadian winters, power washes, hand washes, etc with zero visible wear.

That being said, I wouldn't hold a pressure washer's nozzle right up close to anything derped but otherwise you should be fine. Touch-ups can be applied with a fresh coat or with a dip-soaked Qtip.

I am thinking of doing my whole truck. How much would you need for that. It is just a hunting/farm truck but i had to get another back bed for it and dont really want to spend 800 on a paint job. Not sure on colors yet either. Here is a pic of the truck as it sits now. I do have to do a little cosmetic work before i do anything as for as paint or dip. Will it stick to bondo? Right back corner panel has some road rash on it(Bought off a wrecked truck)

Anyone plasti dip their rims that have corrosion on them? Trying to figure out the best way to go about it, some rims are pretty bad with big flakes of paint chipping off.

So far I've dipped all my emblems and front grill. And all came out awesome.

I think Derp is derogatory nickname for plastidip..idk tho ...
I have badges front grill and rear bumper all dipped and has lasted well so far (2-3mo.)
The glossifier makes plastidip washable and I use plastic restorer to shine those area's.
Just started spraying plastidip through preval sprayer. I love the way it lays plastidip down way smoother.

Yeah derp is just another way of saying dip. Mostly by people who don't like dip and think it's dumb that anyone would put that on their cars

I've been thinking about doing this as well. Did you sand blast the wheels first? I have some old 3 spoke wheels that are corroded and I'm planning on sand blasting them painting or plastidipping them bronze and using them as my winter tire wheels.

    Nicely done btw!
