huh, I haven't done this myself, but everyone else seems to say it holds up to power washing.

Took my emblems off my truck to paint them and remounted them on the truck using 3M mounting tape from hobby lobby. When you buy it the tape looks red and is pretty thick. I've had my emblems back on for about 6 months now and haven't had any trouble I even tried pulling them off and they wouldn't budge. It almost seems like the same kind of stuff that the factory uses.

    Niiiice. Really looks sweet

In another dipping thread yesterday I asked the OP if he even thought about leaving the Yota emblem stock.

I see you had the same idea, and it looks great.

That is the plan for my SSM OR grille, badges, valance and rear bumper.

Thanks for making my decision for me...;)

Holding great so far. Its been on for about 5 hours, lol.
The stuff seems pretty durable though. Curious to see about its durability in the summer heat/sun, but I dont see any real consequence to using it. It peels off easily.

Btw, application is real easy too. Piece of cake to make a straight edge (at least on this area)

    Does Plasti-Dip count as a mod ?
I have a plan to de-chrome my Taco. I've been reading up on this PLasti-Dip stuff, and decided to give it a go.

I'm surprised at the results, and how easy it was to do.

Masking and painting: 3 light coats and 1 final coat. I should have used the tape all around the area. Easier to get off. I did have one spot that I had to redo because of a tiny drop of water.

Peeling this off was easier than I thought. It separated right under the letters. In between spots were easy to pick at.

I didn't bother to remove the step covers. I'm fairly good at masking, so did it up and applied 4 light coats. 1 final coat.
I did need to reshoot one corner that had torn. Remask and repeat.

And the final result: Dark and very cool. These pics were taken in my garage late in the day. I'll get better shots when she's all done.

Had a little daylight left, so I started on the grille....

I just covered the grille surround and did the emblem.
I left the original bits gloss black. I think it'll be a nice contrast.
