This is what i was looking for.

    Time to pick some brains..

what size plano/pelican boxes go up there?

    how would you mount rotopax?

i see a scepter in one of those pics, please explain .. lol

what if we had our own light bar that is not Heretic, would the mounting still work?

potentially a really stupid question, but what size carriage bolts fit in the top rails? Is there another option to using them? Other than the expensive rotoplax?

1/4" carriage bolts. The other alternative is tnuts (www.tnutz.com). Rotopax are fuel and water containers so I am not sure how they are related to mounting hardware unless I am misunderstanding the question.

If I were going to put a hilift on the roof I would use something like this:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=uni...LAhUJsYMKHaxgBpIQsAQIXA#imgrc=jAP_GdfK-BtdyM:

Or this without the ubolts https://www.google.com/search?q=uni...LAhUJsYMKHaxgBpIQsAQIXA#imgrc=LPCcUn3XwXwNCM:

That being said, the roof is a terrible place for the hi-lift in my opinion. It is a heavy, awkward item that has a tendency of coming loose. It also is susceptible to weather and when you leave it sitting out in the sun, rain, snow, etc for a long period of time you risk it not working when you need it, luckily in my experience I have rarely needed mine. They are a useful tool but anymore there are better, safer, more compact options for the needs of most people.

Thanks Zach. I was thinking of the mounts for the fuel and water containers and assumed rotopax was the name of the "system", not the containers. Thanks!

2" x 1" 1020 series, all slots are compatible with 10 series tnuts (1/4" or 6mm bolts will fit depending on the thread you choose)

I used pelfreybilt highlift mount. Straight blot on mounting. I am waiting on a bolt lock hitch pin to come in so I can lock it to the rack as well. It works off your ignition key so one key for everything
