Yeah that too. I wish CBI, a bigger shop, would work with Zach (if necessary) to revamp the feet. I know it's an investment.

I think it would be hard for cbi/prinsu to deal with it. Every camper has a different radius both front/back and side/side. I'd just throw them in a vice and change the angles until it worked for your truck.

I’ve got the old school Prinsu with the set in place feet but ran into the same issue as you due to the curvature from front to back and the set feet. I was given a few pieces of cut rubber coated pipe as spacers and they’ve worked great. Never had an issue and have carried up to 40 16’ 2x4s on it. I do have the cabrac too though so that helps with the length.

Prinsu_Side_Lights.jpg @Bunk Moreland sorry about that I mis-posted. I ground the lights to the frame. Yes you could devise a grounding block but it isn't really necessary. My issue came from swapping my Front Runner rack to the Prinsu and not factoring in the difference in material for grounding.

The Rigid Scene lights are so great to have on a roof rack. They angle down perfectly on the Prinsu. When I get the cabrack on I'll put two more on it.

    It's complicated.
Good to know. Thanks for the info.

I've STILL not heard back from Prinsu or CBI, so I'll be looking elsewhere.

Prinsu Rack is IN!! The Rhino Rack Tracks put it pretty much dead level to the cab rack.

I need to figure out if I should put my awning/recovery tracks/Plano Case on the front or the back of the truck........

I was wondering the same thing. I noticed that when you lay the "extra piece of metal" perpendicular to the crossbars that the holes line up exactly with the t-slots of two adjacent crossbars.

My guesses are that the "extra pieces of metal" are:
    1) braces you can add to help keep the roof rack square (but don't know why you would need that)
    2) to connect the cabrac to the toprac
    3) provide more mounting options for accessories by connecting to adjacent crossbars

Hopefully someone knows the real answer

    The Correct answer is....
    1) braces you can add to help keep the roof rack square

We send these with the top racks to ad extra support

Is there a recommended install location for these? The instructions for the top rack don't mention the bracing

@CBI Offroad Fab where do these mount? Also for those of us that purchased prior to them becoming available, is it possible to purchase separately?

@CBI Offroad Fab do you offer these support brackets separately for purchase? I'd like to get a set but don't see them on your site.

@CBI Offroad Fab Thanks! that explains it perfectly.

I am about to order the cargo basket kit for my top rack. I didn't see this before, but am excited to install it. I have some cargo boxes I plan to strap down to the rack this summer for camping supplies and the basket will be a nice backstop - just one more piece of insurance to help everything stay put.

Those of you have installed lights on the rear or side of a Toprac, how did you run cabling from the battery/switch?

I used zip ties for horizontal wiring I was able to tuck everything underneath. I got these zip tie holders but haven't used them yet. They're nice

I saved that link. However, I was asking more specifically, how did you get the cables from your battery (or relay panel or whatever) up to your lights? did you run them along the bottom of the truck? In through the cab and out of the back?

I ran mine between the cab and camper shell using self adhesive zip tie blocks, then once under cab, zipped tied to existing cable bundle or brake lines up to my relay box. Suggest to use a color braided wire loom to protect wires and make it less obvious

in need of help. Anyone have a list of hardware included on the Prinsu Habitat Roof rack? the shorter Tacoma roof rack. I found the access rack list of hardware on prinsus website but not sure if its the same as the habitat model. any help would be appreciated.
