I can’t seem to find any info on mounting round lights to the prinsu. Does anyone have any info? It’ll be 8 4-inch rigid 360 series.

Has anyone seen these on a prinsu yet? I asked them if they are compatible and they said no but surely there is a way to mount them

This may be a good alternative to a light bar (if only needed occasionally)

How are y'all mounting kayaks? I grabbled a Malone Stax system but I'm not entirely confident in it. It's held on mountain roads at 65mph, which I guess passes the test. Just wondering how y'all are mounting your kayaks.

How'd you mount that? I've got Yakima kayak stackers and can't figure out a good way to mount without cutting them.

The Malone kit has a "universal" base with bracket and two length bolts for mounting. It's not a perfect fit, but with enough clamp tension it does the job.

it's that "not a perfect fit" thing that has me wondering if there's a better product out there. My kayak is 12' long and it's not exactly the easiest feat to get it up and balanced by myself. I haven't had any accidents getting it up there, but I'm not getting any younger, either. I drag the boat up into the bed and slid it in place from the bed, climbing up into my door sills to fine-tune how it is seated in the included foam blocks (which I don't see lasting beyond a few seasons). The included straps are adequate, and I added some Seattle Sports Hood Loops yesterday for my ratcheting lines for bow & stern.

    https://www.amazon.com/Sentry-Ratch.../dp/B06XVFDM5W/ref=psdc_3398221_t2_B0024ALDMS

The whole setup didn't budge an inch on my 80-mile trek or return trip.

So you mounted it around the crossbars rather than into them with carriage bolts?

Yeah, there are bolt seats molded into the base of the Malone stands and wingnuts on the bottom. The base of the Malone stands are wider than the bars.

My Yakima stackers won't make it around the crossbars. I'd prefer to have a solution like yours. However, I'm probably going to get a shell for the summer and if so I'll add some round Yakima bars to the topper to mount the stackers.

OK, I said a while ago that I was working on a "no drill" solution for mounting a Pelican 1750, and my follow through has been kind of slow, but I finally finished it. My solution was to remove the wheels, and the end handle, and use their mounting points as outside attachment points, then I welded up some brackets, 3 mounting plates, added paint and put it all together. Pretty pleased with how it turned out.
