Tar as in truck with a car body.. super light and kick ass in the mud.

Mean while I got some more 1/4" plate cut up for the front of the frame and got some more metal added to the front diff.

full droop vrs. stuffed. and everyone thought I was gonna built a mall crawler..

 

How much travel is that? You could about stuff a dead body in there at full droop.

 

two dead bodies per side. 18.5" of travel.

 

That's bad ass man. What kind of driveline are you running? Also how did you figure pinion angle?

 

lol that's exactly twice the travel of my current rear end setup...

No front drive line yet going to have to get something custom built and might even have to wait till i get money to buy the 4 speed altas to push back and reclock the Tcase. im sure it will be have a CV at both ends.

as far as pinion angle im not sure what your asking?? that is pre set by the caster that is needed to drive the truck.

 

won't you have to do a custom one piece driveline for the rear as well??

 

no ill do a custom two piece drive line to i can avoid having to run a CV joint on the rear shaft.

 

I see. Well if your pinion is pointed directly at the output of the T-case (looks like it is) you will have to have a CV joint,(as shown below) otherwise you will eat lots of U-joints. Just curious, my rear axle has about the same amount of travel and it's fun to see how the rock guys set stuff up.

 

A: thats a jeep rear drive shaft. (threw up in my mouth a little)

B: on my front shaft ill have to have a CV like shown on both ends of the drive shaft. in order to adjust the pinion i would have to drill the welds and clock the tubs in order to point the pinion up. Im not going to do that it's a already a High Pinion diff so that will just have to do.

C: as far as the rear diff go well that will be an easy one. just rotate the diff till desired pinion angle is achieved then weld spring pads to the axle. and yes i will point the pinion at the transfercase.

not his front. that was pre set by the factory for steering angle..

this will hold the T case up and make the truck driveable untill i get an atlas and have to redo it all


also just ordered gear for the 14 bolt.
