He mounted the shocks as high as he could without going up through the hood (at least that was the plan last I knew) and then he pry bumped wherethe shock was fully stuffed. He wants to fit those big tars with minimal cutting.

That's what I was getting at. Your springs are too stiff for your light rig. Haha

If those are the 40's in rhe picture then when he throws the 42's on they will stick an inch farther forward helping his approach angle.

 

19" cuz I angled the front shocks.

this plus some VVV. it's incredibly hard to stuff a tire that doesn't sit under the truck.

plans changed ill be doing some cutting and looking for 44" boggers. they rock crawl just fine

 

Just get tractor wheels and tires. It will be easier to get 60" that way

 

And easier to make an otherwise beautiful truck fuggly.

How many years have you had this truck? It'd take me a looooooong time to commit to SAS

 

4 years. bought it bon stock. Had it on 2.5" of lift, 33's and sliders and a front bumper, a locker and the rear bumper done. At the end of the second year it got 10lb of boost, 6" of lift 35's and 4.88 gears. Third year it got a front arb. I upgraded the rear locker to an arb 5 months befor moab and then sold all that shit off so I could do this sas. Oh and I bought a tow rig last year that has had a few upgrades it's self. needless to say all my money goes into my trucks.

44s are huge. Didn't you say you are putting in 5.29 gearing?

 

I've got a girl and a house 4 dogs between the two of us and all that other normal shit too. but it hardly see's any money it doesn't have to. I flood water the yard once a week and I keep the A/C at 78 in the house to keep more money going into the truck.

 

5.38's you can only get 5.29's for Toyota diffs. I know that is perfect gearing for a 38" tire but that's what an atlas transfercase is for. Aslo I don't plan on putting a 44 on it till I get the atlas to that's a few years away.

 

Will there be anything you won't have clearance to climb once you have this all set up?

 

im sure there will be lots but Widow maker wont be one of them.

 

I'm thinking that if you go for a wheeling trip somewhere toward north ID, I may have to join in just to see this beast in action
