^ That is a Navara, not a Frontier.

It is no less terrible looking as a Navara than it would have been if it were the Frontier...

Don't mind me. Just dropping some knowledge in this thread.

    Volume, yes. Sales trend, no.

    http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/toyota-tacoma-sales-figures/

Total sales are going to go up regardless (increased population, midsize truck popularity, etc.). The chart above shows 2010-2017 comparison for January-October (since we don't have November or December data) and Year with November/December 2016 data extrapolated to 2017. 3rd gens aren't selling as good as you think and 2017 is a worse year than 2016.

Another thing to consider is trim and drivetrain...

These numbers will vary based on region. The chart above compares the DC Off Road and Sport trim volume in my area. There are at least DOUBLE the inventory of 4x4 OR vs the other trims. I'm not interested in SR, SR5, or limited so I don't have data but there are even less inventory of those trims. Cabin type also matters. There are exponentially more DC vehicles left on the market than extended cab.

Looks more Hilux than Ridgeline, IMO. Clearly not modeled after the Honda, considering the Navara has looked like that since 2015.

Nissan needs to come up with their own designs, it's embarrasing. Reminds me of Hundai and Kia.

They make good stuff, but when it looks like a Japanese version of an American Truck, and they make in America, it's just silly.

They are bringing the Navara over here instead of doing an actual redesign for the next model year.

Interesting, did not hear about that.

I'm cringing at the inevitable "OMG, Nissan mid-size diesel is coming" threads. Brace yourselves.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Do you seriously plan to trade in a 2017 for a nearly identical 2018? wow man.

Ah you don't want an overpriced Pro anyway. You can build it better yourself

When you go to the Nissan USA site, The 2018 Frontier is still the same truck design since 2004. No refresh. Its almost embarrassing how the Nissan dealer is justifying that the new 2018 Frontier now comes with Bluetooth, air conditioning, cruise control, a rearview camera and a 5-inch touchscreen to outmatch the Tacoma. Doesnt even a Corolla come with all those features?

Yup. I don’t like the auto transmission with the new motor and a 4dr would be nice. It has sat for the past 7 months and hasn’t moved so i haven’t lost value on it really.

wonder if 2018 will be a short model year because I ordered my 2017 in May 2016 and at this rate it’ll be January or February before the lots are full of 2018’s four months later you can order a 2019.
