aww man im sorry to hear about this....i saw that one guy on instagram talking trash about the video saying that you never tried to break but you can obviously see it when you tried to stop and you can even hear the tires skidding before the impact lol the guy was a fucking idiot and if i had to guess he is a jeep fan.
i always love your build man.
good thing is that you got to take out a bunch of the parts! if i were around your area i would have let you have my rear bumper so you could take your old one off.

    take care bud

See my build thread in my signature
I have been a part of some sketchy installs but that by far was the scariest moment of my life installing parts when that thing snapped into the ground I'm pretty sure I shit myself

Not that it matters now, but may help for others following:

On my 04 Tundra I pull the ABS fuse when I hit the dirt. ABS light comes on, ABS is off, thats it. Truck stops as it should in the dirt. Not sure if it works on Tacomas but something to think about.

Also, did the airbags deploy? One heck of a hit.

Glad everyone walked away, scary stuff.

Well we were using a real sketch way of bending the top leaf high enough to reach the rear hanger. At first we tried to save my DMZ shackles and were trying to make the chevy shackle reach, but using a floor jack with a 4x4 at an angle was bad news. The block slipped sending it back toward Jamie who was standing behind the jack and the leaf snapped back down. We were deaf for a couple minutes and Jamie's shin was saved by the jack handle lol. We did have the front hanger and ubolts already bolted in so it was only the rear giving us grief. After awhile we finally started playing with ratchet straps and the jack but had to sacrifice the dmz shackles to make it work finally
Yea ive heard of pulling the fuse, just never really needed to and literally this was the first time I was wheeling without engaging my locker, which turns the abs off. Airbags deployed and all yea

I haven't announced the next chapter officially. Some very few people know what I'm getting, but I can tell you all it will arrive no later than the 22nd of this month! I would have such a hard time ever leaving Toyota and couldn't see myself driving anything else! The Toyota family is strong and supportive to eachother making the decision very easy for me
