It looks better I think. You will have to center it and glue it to the clear diffuser.

I think it looks better since you can center it

Interesting. And it's the whole ring and not parts right? The newest rings have external resistors/driver so the failure rate is very very low. You'll rarely replace the ring, just the little black box.

Yes absolutely. Have you tried to swap the little driver going into it to the other side? It could very well just be that piece (likely so).

The 120 don't look bad either. It seems like the 120 is easier to install as well

+1 for the customer service. All the orange tabs on my igniter snapped off from having to check and recheck my headlight alignment the past several days. (I finally got it straight, by the way.) Anyway, the igniter brooke on Friday evening after they were already closed, so I just went ahead and ordered a new one because I knew I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone until today (Tuesday) because of Memorial Day. I talked to them and explained what happened and even though that particular event is not warrantied, I was given a partial credit for the new one and it was applied to my account before I could say abracadabra. The whole conversation took about one minute. :woot:

I'm getting power through the driver so I didn't think that was the problem. I already had one driver go bad and when it did the halo just went dim, not completely out.

I was just using a test light to check for power. I know led are a little sensitive to voltage and things right? So could it be that my test light was coming on but for some reason that power isn't right or something for the halo to come on???

I could try to swap drivers I guess. Bad thing is I will have to cut everything apart and then crimp it back together. Which I wanted to avoid. But alot more time saving then removing the whole halo

Ok I found a way to use the other driver without cutting it all put. Using it the halo did turn on! Yeepee! Just need a new driver now.

Yes, FINALLY!! I ended up scraping away at the plastic stops for that H4 washer in order to let it over-correct to the opposite side. That allowed it to settle in the correct alignment and I JB Welded the washer to the back of the bowl. Now I have to take the lens off because I got just enough dust inside the bowl to drive me nuts. Damn OCDness

Ah, yeah h4 adaptors don't work for us. I don't know why toyota mounted their h4 bulb like so. Take the headlights out and use a Vacuum tube . You may have to shake it around a bit

Just ordered a set of d2s last Friday and it looks like they're on back order again. Any idea how long it's gonna be this time?

Don't have a vacuum hose that will fit. Gotta take it apart and wipe it down with a tac cloth or microfiber

Yesterday one of my hid bulbs went out ( i have the Osram D2S CBI bulbs from this group buy in the FX-R setup). pulled it out but unsure if it's the bulb or something else. i could swap the other, working bulb but frankly it's a real pain as there is virtually no room due to the battery being in the way which may require removing it, or removing the entire headlight assembly from the front. any ideas how i can test the bulb or otherwise are appreciated.
