Totally agree! So did you just put JB Weld on the projector and slide on the shroud? That's really all I can imagine doing.

Only asking so I don't screw this up. I did the 'oven' thing and painted all day today ... exhausting ... now I have to scrape oem butyl in the morning!

The clips pop on to the d2s so you would jb weld the clips but the clips don't fit h1. I use centric rings. You will see

It looks like my kit didn't come with centric rings. Do the panamera shrouds on ACME H1 standard Projector not need the ring? I'm assuming they do as I dont see how I'd epoxy it because it only touches the thin lip of the shroud and the top of the projector housing.

Edit: I guess reading back the kit contents don't include the ring but I think it should be advertised that you may need to purchase the ring separately. Pretty tricky to catch. Sucks that it didn't specify that I needed them when ordering, especially noobs like me

Sh*t... Well that was nice of TRS to suggest or even include the proper centric rings. Looks like I get to make my own centric rings today, SOB!

You're in the same boat as me man. Only the lip touches on the Apollo as well... only I have my headlights open and need to complete this thing.

I'd order some rings if you still have time.

:annoyed: I was about to go out and pull everything off my truck but decided to look one last time if I have everything. Guess not. Sucks it was specified that you need the rings when ordering.

What are you going to do since you have yours open?

I'm going to try and pull a Macgyver! I just need some type of bushing or something. Gonna head to the plumbing section of Lowe's. I'll let you know.

Thanks @TRSJimmy for all the help!

Got the correct igniters and the lights installed. Works perfect!

But, is it normal for the amber part of the switchbacks to lag a bit when you turn the blinkers on? It seems to only do it if you go from white to amber really quick

You will need centric rings. Why acme and not morimoto?

I couldn't spend more than $150 on headlights due to money constraints and this kit fit right into budget. Also not being a headlight nerd (yet) I figured this would be a good starter set and an improvement on stock

Do you have any before/after output shots? I was kind of thinking of the acme kit but boy do I like the output shots of the mini d2s. And also how was the install?

I have yet to install due to the fact I did not get rings with my order so I hope to start it this weekend! I'll get some before and after pictures though and let you know about install! Doesn't seem too bad from the videos I've watched and other write ups

    Will do! Thanks

If you want the pics like the d2s you need to get them. 100x better than acme h1

So... I made some centric rings but I'm going to wait until TRS sends me the real ones just to be safe! I don't want to F it up and have to re-do it. I did test mount the projectors to do some aligning. The H4 adapter plate is way off and does not provide a horizontal line. I ended up dremeling out the tooth on the inside of the H4 plate/washer so I could adjust the line manually. Still have some alignment to do before final install but thought I'd share.

ACME H1 Standard output shots .....

I'm looking to do some RBG halos behind the G37R shrouds on an H1 projector. On the TRS site the G37R shows a rear diameter as 110mm. Morimoto XCs only come in 100 and 120mm ø halos (among other sizes)

In a couple posts I found one guy mentioning that you might need multiple sized halos behind a g37r to light up all the vents. Another post a guy said he had a 100mm switchback behind his and it looked alright from what I could see.

Can anyone provide some advice on what size(s) to put behind the g37r shroud? Go with the 100, 120, multiple diameters?

Completed my retrofit a few days ago. I ended up using the 110 halos with the Apollo 3.0 and have no issues. I spoke with TRS multiple times regarding the appropriate sizing and apparently 100 and 110 are slightly off but will both work.

From what I understand, it is now safe to run the new halos in amber as a DRL without risk of a burnout?

The same shit everyone else has.
Looks good. The halos in mine are wired to the parking lights w/ no issue.
