Okay time to kick some ass and take some names! These have been sitting in a box for two months because I haven't had time to work on them. Going to put this winter college break to good use

I run my halos in amber pretty much whenever the truck is on, but not when the headlights are on. Still going strong.

Nice! I wired the amber to the DRL switch, and the white to my fogs with the fog anytime mod, so I can run white or amber DRL halos to change things up.

So if you turn on your fog lights, are the white halos always on?

Yes, unless I turn the knob to DRL, then it turns to amber with the factory amber DRL's. The amber overrides the white light when they both have power.

What about when your headlights and fog lights are both on?

The white halo stays on with the headlights if the fogs are on. I doubt it will cause any issues unless I'm missing something.

Some people have their halo wired with the ignition.

No I don't think there's any issues with that either. Seems to be lots of different options for wiring halos. Thanks.

Need to order replacement bulbs for my retros. I have the mini d2s kit

Would the H4/9003: Morimoto XB Bi xenon bulbs in 5k be the right ones?

Hmmm if you have mini d2s projectors, you'll need D2S bulbs!

on the RGB Halos, do you set a color via the app and it holds that color?

Like if i set it to the color i want and then shut the halos off, then turn them back on, will they stay the color i chose before? Or do you have to set it every time with the app?

I've been watching a few videos on how to do the retrofit and wanted to ask if its a must to trim the tabs at the back of the housing to make the projector fit? I really want to jump on the mini D2S kit, but I am really hesistant to cracking open my housings and sealing them again. Not to mention my wife will slaughter me if the smell of the housing baking will stink up the house. Any insight or recommendation yall can provide a light noob?

Not sure about the first part but I can give you tips about the wife. Yesterday when I opened mine, the house kinda stunk even after venting and candles. So I stuck some old cookie dough in the oven and burned it. Needless to say, wifey was only a little mad (since I said I was trying to do something sweet) about that rather than burning chemicals.

We'll played sir, well played. I think I might be over thinking the difficulty of the install, but I figured I'd play it safe due to not having a back up pair of housings.

Yeah I didn't have a backup pair of housings and I'm on day two. It's good I didn't have work and only needed to drive in the day.
The oven and taking the plastic off is the easiest. Done it twice because the first time I went to do my projectors I realized I got the wrong harness and had to seal them back up. What has been a pain is making the shrouds fit as well wiring. But now that I am finishing it up, if I do it again it will be easy.

Making as the shrouds fit as in shaping them to the bowl? Did the wiring come with instructions and is there any splicing or tapping needed?
