Thanks for the advice, but the RGB Halos have a way thicker wire than I assume other Halos have (you can see in the pic) ... the plug end of the wires (not in the pic) is about as big as a dime, so a tiny hole isn't gonna cut it.
Long story short, I had to drill/cut a pretty large slot in the shroud to get the halo to sit flush ... and it looks like garbage. Guess I'll be going back to TRS to get a new shroud.

More bad luck for me. 2 separate TRS orders later, I have one item missing, and I received a pair of halos that don't match at all ... One of them is more opaque with uniform light all around, and the other one I can see individual LEDs (even with it off) ... Anyone else have quality control issues?

(and yes, I have emailed them and they've been responsive but it's a good thing I tested everything before I started JB Welding everything together)

Has anyone had issues with one light not turning on at the start of the truck? and if i turn my lights off and back on they come back. Its the passanger side light, which is also slightly dimmer on a regular basis.

I would swap ballasts from the driver's side and see if the issue changes to the driver's. After you find out, you can warranty it.

Same but it hasn't happened in a while. As long as the light comes back on I don't care. I've noticed it happens when it's cold out. Maybe that it

That's probably all it was. I've read these have somewhat of issues when it's cold. Once they warm up they'll be good to go

Has anyone tried the tacomaworld discount lately? Seems like it doesn’t work on their website anymore.

May I just straight up ask about the legality of these upgrades?

I want to do one badly over this summer, but not if it’s 1) illegal in the state I reside (Pennsylvania) and 2) if doing so would create liability for me in the event of an accident.

I hate to be anal, but I’ve got kids, a house, etc to think about and it would look AWESOME, but I’m just risk averse, I guess....

I'm pretty sure that it is legal - I mean you are just taking a reflector headlight and turning it into a projector headlight - I mean look at any newer car (even some older ones) they have projectors. It's just a nicer projector. As long as you have them aimed right afterwards it shouldn't be any liability

Need to research state laws. Any modified or non-OEM headlights are illegal in Hawaii.
