    Funny that different color from black is being brought up. I was actually thinking of trying to do a black/MGM combination somehow. Also there is another option besides duplicolor. One of my paint stores will take your paint code and mix it and load it in an aerosol can. Granted a little more expensive but they give you the remaining in a container so if you want to load more cans later you can. Think it was like $25 or so. Matched my Stock color perfectly when I painted shrouds on another vehicle. I wondered about plasti though.

    when doing the retrofit and doing the bhlm including painting the reflector do you guys sand the chrome at all? or just paint over it directly?

    No sanding. When I did my genesis coupe I washed with soap/water and let air dry, sprayed a plastic adhesion promotor, sprayed 3 coats of satin black. Think I might have thrown a couple coats of satin clear as well. I also baked the painted parts a little by themselves. Seemed to smooth out the finish.

    Krylon Fusion or Rust-Oleum "All-Surfaces".
    Cleaned with microfiber and painted. Satin black.
    Gloss colors may need more prep for a good even coat. Flat and satin are very forgiving.

    Can anyone recommend a place/person to do the actual retrofit? I'm not huge on DIY stuff. As much as I like to think I know my way around, I really don't want to eff this up and willing to pay someone who knows what they're doing to do this.

    Unfortunately, the best quality work I've seen around on the forums...the current wait time is 1 year+ to never for completion.
