The TNGA-f platform does not have a set width or wheelbase. I'm not sure of the specifics, but obviously the new Sequoia does not have the same wheelbase as the new Tacoma, or the GX /Land Cruiser.

Probably not, since the V8 is still available. But the 70-series Land Cruiser did gain a TSS radar and digital instrument cluster :cookiemonster:

Not really hate, just facts. More moving parts such as a hybrid system and a turbo charger. More things to fail, more money to spend. Doesn’t take too much thought to understand that

Very interesting, Toyota is going wild, building a whole bunch of off road vehicles just to compete itself. LC 250 is still little larger than 4 runner and apparently more expensive, feels like a step up from 4 runner. But seriously, who is going to buy Sequoia TRD pro with this thing in the way.

With the new Land Cruiser hybrid only, willing to bet there is still room for the 4Runner, with available non-hybrid versions. Would love to see a SR version, with emphasis on the utility part.

I think the base models would look nice and be pretty functional with a set of pizza cutters and a winch...

It's still labeled the Prado where the J300 Land Cruiser is sold. Note the Australian site shows a LHD prototype. Don't think we've seen RHD yet, even though it's made in Japan and all: Screenshot_20230802-082429.png

I follow Bushtaxi on FB, they show a version that appears it doesn’t have a battery in the cargo area. Maybe some of the overseas market isn’t getting a hybrid? Hard to tell from the picture.

Also has the Prado badging. Which to Land Cruiser geeks is slang for Land Cruiser “Lite” :D

If you you really want a junior land cruiser, I wouldn’t wait until next spring to flip 55k + markup on a 4cylinder 1958 edition.

Nope, I’d be down at my Toyota dealer this morning negotiating on a 4Runner TRD Pro. Or better yet, a 48k OR Premium.

Exactly my thoughts, I was hoping it would start at 50k but mid 50s for a barebone 4cyl SUV is a hard pill to swallow. Basically you paying for the Land Cruiser badge, granted you are paying for the 4cy hybrid with all that torque, they should've have given the option of the regular 4cyl turbo available in the Taco for less but oh well, we will see

Also, given these prices i don't expect the Taco TRD Offroad and TRD Sport Hybrid to be less than 52k

Or just go buy the real thing. Client of mine just picked this up for $25K. Gives you another $25K to play with to make it exactly to one’s liking. He has a DCLB Taco as his daily, wife a 4Runner.

Me I would do a H55 swap, Sniper kit, some stock steelies with pizza cutters and call it good. It already came with 3 different tops. Hard, soft, and the bikini seen here.

TRD Jon was there last night - https://youtu.be/KCuEfY2oSDs

First impression is that it's a nice lookin' truck. Really looking forward to what happens with the next generation 4Runner now.

I know what you mean. He can be a little bit much from time to time, but he's usually pretty good.

The raised floor platform on the US trucks due to the battery looks pretty annoying.

Definitely. It doesn’t make much sense to me to spend $55+K on a vehicle that’s got cloth seats and is somewhat base model.
