Just noticed this in the front view, ugly front bumper transition to the fender flares. The GX550 doesn't have this:

My dad would have loved that! He had MS, was bound to a wheelchair since I can remember. He did have a set of hand controls in his F250. The looks he would get pulling into a handicapped spot. Lol!

Would be nice if they did a traditional style bumper without all the plastic bullshit. Make it easier for installing a winch bumper instead having to perform “plastic” surgery. Lol! Case of the Land Cruiser we want, vs. the Land Cruiser they gave us…

Most likely easier to fit 3rd party steel bumpers.

Both of those sell for roughly the same price. You willing to put up with manual crank windows for $60k? How about hood disbond issues like 3rd gen Tacomas? Or 11.5 sec 0-62 mph time from the 4-cyl diesel...

That was more about bumper design, but yeah I would. That 70 in your video had power windows, and might have power locks. Wouldn’t mind having that full floating axle either. I am in no hurry, all about enjoying the view these days, remember I used to own aircooled VW buses. :) If you want fast you can get them with the 4.0 V6.

Yeah Toyota cheaps out on some things like bonding agents, easy fix. Have you seen the list of things wrong on a luxury trim Tundra?

Simple dash, manual t-case lever and e-brake, power windows, drivers side grab handle, etc…what is not to like? Those armrest, switches and door lever look exactly like what is in my 1st Gen. The speaker grills and glove box looks right out of my ‘92 pickup. Ha!

If you scroll through the Aussie site, it has all the safety and tech stuff that governments and people demand these days.

I'm extremely disappointed the only drive train option in the LC is a hybrid. Whether it's my ignorance or not, I'm just not convinced it's a great package for all the obstacles you might throw at a modded LC.

I can't imagine the new axels being as strong as the out going design.

I agree. Seems like they are going to kill the legendary LC reliability.

Could always get the GX 550 that has the V6TT out of the Tundra.

In all reality, majority of these vehicles sold will never see dirt…

The Overtrail has to be at least $70k probably more. I wouldn't be going out of my way to take it off road.

Me neither, at those prices rather have a Sprinter, hell of a lot more useful too.

Front and rear diff on the Tacoma hybrid (same drive train as the new landcruiser) is same size as the 200 series. I imagine it’ll be ok

It feels like it's built for the family camping trip.

I was hoping to see a sweet SEMA build to help change my mind, but that didn't happen.

That's crossed my mind, but damn, $70k is a lot of money. That's pushing F250 territory. We'll see if the new 4Runner is a let down. Maybe it's LC like, but with the Turbo.
