Kinda flat and tumble, just horrible all the way around. Ha!

That Burb I posted earlier did it right, tumble and flat. Even with the spare on the inside, still a ton of room.

That's a lot of bling on that Lexus. But I'm at 5800 in my LC on 35's

As you see they flip up too. I said they fold flat, not even with the floor.

Pretty shitty. Trying to load something long in there would be frustrating as hell. Complete failure by the engineers for not figuring out a way to make the seats level with the floor.

Total ground up design, and they couldn’t do better? Fairly simple to do as it has been done the past, seat bottom tumbles forward, backs fold into the basin. It isn’t rocket surgery… :)

I just watched this video of TFL driving the two versions of the LandCruiser. I’m disappointed in how much cheap black plastic is on the 1958. The grille looks bad and the interior too for a $56K vehicle. Also these manufactured courses that Toyota makes for test drives are getting weird.

It seems like they just don’t care about function anymore. Just grab some seats out of the parts bin and throw them in.

Should of went in the far far back corner of the warehouse and pulled them from the 1st Gen 4Runner…

Gotta say that is really nice dash to look at, quite unfortunate the Tacoma didn’t get the the same treatment.

Well the 4Runner is the Land Cruiser's little brother and the Tacoma is its little sister. :crapstorm:

Ha! The LC’s dash looks like the natural evolution of the 3rd Gen Taco’s. That should have went into the 4th Gen, instead we got baby Tundra.

Kinda like the 1958, those cloth seats seem like a proper Toyota pattern, unlike the cheesy diamond plate in the 4G Taco.

Those warning beeps Andre was complaining about, that nannying stuff is bullshit. My 3G does that a little, looks worse on the new trucks.

But yeah, price-wise it feels about $10K too high for what you get. Though if you compare it to a resto modded 60/62 that can go upwards of $300K, seems like a bargain. Ha!

Icon/TLC4X4 FJ162 (62 on an 80 chassis, LS swap) this will probably get you more looky-loo’s from middle-aged men at the gas and sip though…. :D

Now since the 4Runner and the US Land Cruiser are virtually the same vehicle, what does this mean for the LC?

"They each have a role, a mission that differentiates the two vehicles," Keita Moritsu, chief engineer for both the Land Cruiser and the 4Runner, told Motor1 through a translator. "The Land Cruiser is designed to support life. It has to be safe. Its duty is to transport people and goods safely and confidently. That's it's role. And obviously, it doesn't break. And even if it does break, it has to be easy to repair. It's a vehicle that gives people a peace of mind. That's the role of that vehicle."

"In contrast, the 4Runner represents fun," Moritsu adds. "A leisurely off-road [experience]. The customers want to have an exciting time in the car. And to really be able to have fun is what's important. It's a much lighter, agile kind of vehicle. And [it has] a much more energetic, active kind of persona to it."
